They signed the contract. They even came up with the contract. He HAS to, whether he wants it or not. It's a responsibility.

Luckily (for Trump/Putin) its not an obligation to join the war, you just have to 'assist' as you see fit.

There was referendum in 2014 and people voted to leave Ukraine and join Russia later. Idk since when is that called invading someone.

they invaded Georgia and Ukraine for the sole reason to prevent those countries from joining the NATO. Following both, the Georgia war of 2008 and the Ukraine insurgency of 2014, these two countries lost their territorial integrity (South Ossetia and Abkhazia proclaimed themselves independent from Georgia, while Crimea and "Donbass" proclaimed themselves independent from Ukraine). If a country lacks territorial integrity, it can't join the NATO. It's simple and rational, much as everything that concerns Russia's foreign policy. It's just cold calculation rather than the desire to ressurect the Soviet Union as many people here believe.

Lithuania is a totally different question. Russia can't stop Lithuania from joining the NATO because Lithuania has been a NATO member for already thirteen years. Russia's military alertness now is explained by the fact that Russian military industries are in the final stages of mastering the production of the new-generation weapons, the Hypersonic Missiles. They are planning to renew their nuclear arsenal with these new types of missiles by 2021.

The NATO countries' military authorities and the USA generals specifically are extremely worried over this fact, because the possession of such weapons makes any defense system in the world utterly useless. It means that the USA can build as many radar stations in Romania, Poland and Czech republic as they wish, for each of this station will be completely useless, even though millions, if not billions of dollars have been already invested in it. The world's technological progress is simply not mature enough to provide us with the defense systems against hypersonic missiles.

The USA, on the side, are developing the production of the first ever hypersonic airplane which will have the abilities to take down any target in any part of the world in less than a couple of hours. Russian army doesn't have a system to defend itself against such an airplane either. So, giving that the production in both countries is not interrupted, we can expect the USA and Russia to obtain the new generation weapons of mass destruction by 2021. Such a scenario sees the tremendous rise of Russia's influence in the world politics and the de-facto switch to the bipolar world, which is not a happy news for Washington.

That's why Russian's officials are feeling worried and nervous now: they fear that either Washington alone or NATO might try to undertake some military measures to prevent Russia from renewing the nuclear arsenal with hypersonic missiles. The Baltic countries, in Russian military strategists' opinion, look like a perfect spot from where NATO might start its attack, and they are trying to mount the pressure over the region.

Do you think that Hitler was justified to invade Czech Republic because parts of it had a huge German population ?

So you think invading Ukraine and Georgia was a good thing to do? :air: It's only a matter of time when those countries join the NATO and EU, wether Russia likes or not.

I know you don't like it, but living in a US-dominated world is way better than living in a Russian. So, it's good that Europeans and Americans show a tough site. But Nato or EU won't start an attack on Russia. That's stupid

Is it justified that US and most of the EU recognised(seized) and supported Kosovo, province of Serbia that had a huge Albanian population, violated all international laws and the resolution of the United Nations? That's totaly ok, right? Double standards...

I just hate how people are making an enemy and evil from Russia when in reality US is doing the same or even worse things around the globe and no one is saying two shits about it. But as you already said we are living in US dominated world so what can we do about it.
