It was common for shows to be spin-offed popular shows especially in the 60's through 80's.  A lot of classic shows are actually spin offs from other shows so it isn't all that uncommon one could be successful, the only thing where they fail at is the writing. Raven is a comedic genius (no one can deny that) and her show was likable. If they don't try to re-capture the essence of the original show but give it the basic current Disney humor then yes, it'd tank in a heartbeat.
