If I were to tattoo a line from Joanne it would be "it wasn't love", but I need to get my Marry the Night tattoo that I've been wanting since 2011 first, lol

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Good thing I know what I'm worth

Want a good thing put the money down first

This might be sad but I didn't realize she said "good thing" twice and just took these two sentences separately as face value. It doubles in meaning between getting tips for go go dancing and the meaning at face value...idk I thought it was cool :lolga:

"Shots were fired on the street, by the church where we used to meet. Angel down, angel down, but the people just stood around."

These lyrics are so simple but so moving and powerful. They can also be applied to many different issues/situations. I know Gaga said she wrote these lyrics with Trayvon Martin in mind, but there have been shootings at black churches, islamic mosques, etc. that take the meaning the literal "church" and there have also been shootings at gay clubs, which, no offense intended, but some LGBT people consider their church of sorts, or a safe place of gathering. When I first heard it I immediately thought of the Pulse shooting, but I also realized how it could be applied to Black Lives Matter and the disproportionate number of black men killed by police officers or simply just people dying at the hands of gun violence for no reason whatsoever.

The way she sings the lyrics are also very appropriate and well-executed--"Angel down, angel down" is sung in higher notes, as if someone is shouting or announcing it, while the "but the people just stood around" is sung in a somber tone at lower notes that really conveys the emotional disturbance no one helping or doing anything to help the situation/prevent it from happening. In my opinion, this is one of her absolute best songs and the best song on Joanne for these reasons. Bravo Gaga :diane:

Not crazy about Sinner's Prayer, but this lyric gets me every time.

What exactly do you think she means by this though?

I read a post somewhere on here a few days ago saying that it could mean she was the only one that saw her relationship with Taylor Kinney ending. It could be a reach, but that's all I got.

I need a winter candy apple and an iced gingerbread candle, both three-wick, or I'm boycotting.
