My friend who used to tease me about liking her music listened to the album and is like wow... no words this **** is actually good. The songs would be different, but still reminiscent of Bad Romance, Poker Face etc. most likely. In going with Mark, she's put out an album none of us could really predict and the songs can't be compared to her past discography because they sound drastically different. The Joanne era reinforces her statement that when you think you know her, you really don't. I love when she fulfils that statement because it shows she really can't be put into a box. We can't go back on her previous albums calling it generic pop because Joanne was better received by GP. Joanne isn't better than BTW or her earlier stuff. gagzus 15,829 Posted October 25, 2016 Share Posted October 25, 2016 Actually I'd say the reason she dropped him was probably because at the time she was testing out different producers and sounds; Giorgio Moroder, RedOne, Mark and probably others we don't know about, but after working with RedOne she probably realised he hasn't evolved like she hoped and she probably wanted one song with Mark but enjoyed working with him way more and saw his evolution and his willingness to push her evolution. He gave it an edge that Redone couldnt, sorry bout it. I like Redone but cmon, let Gaga explore and experiment with other people, otherwise were just stanning for hits.
