I pretty much know what it is but I would like some clarification about why it happens. Songs stop rising / hits start plunging as Christmas songs begin surging and old hits rise thanks to end-of-year playlists. At the end of the year they start playing Xmas music + they do a lot of countdowns of the biggest hits of the year. Therefor the current singles don't get played as much. They call it a Freeze.
