Wait did she say this in the interview? I have to wait until I'm home from school to watch it.

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.

No, she did not. In the interview, she was asked about Donald Trump, she responded with the same response: "I have nothing to say of him"

They really should stop fighting, make up and make out instead and make a song about them making up and out :v:

Loll I've been posting in Gaga's defense in the other topics related to this - for some reason I care to defend her over this because I do believe Madonna acted poorly enough to warrant Gaga giving it back.

However, though a part of me was/is happy Gaga put the truth out there, I also just wish she had said nothing. It is distracting from the album... though oddly I really think this is an era where Gaga is just going to defend herself and her work, plain and simple.

People, we all know the press is really hard on her. I think it is almost therapeutic to just say how she feels, in her pretty kind, well-spoken way, than bottle it up, at least for now.

She's not wrong about Madonna, as she is now. She may have paved the way for pop women everywhere, and no one is taking that away - but she is not a full-bodied musician who is open to exploring new genres and concepts - sorry. She really hasn't been that way for a long time, but especially recently.

I've seen some people claim she plays a few instruments. Great. I don't think most people would know that because it is rarely if ever showcased in her work.

In her heyday she wrote some good songs. Her last few albums have been not-so-great considering this is the queen of pop. The last album that had some thoroughly good beat was celebration, though they weren't necessarily novel.

I think, mainly, that Gaga made this statement about herself a little too early, if anything. This new Gaga, and most likely the Gaga of the future, is unlike Madonna. She is not going to be a pop art spectacle who works with people to achieve number ones. Her concern lies more with expressing herself and making quality music she can be proud of than producing albums that will top charts. This is reflected in Joanne. Had she made this statement in another album or so, it would be more believable.

Perhaps because Gaga started her career in such a way, it seems as if she is very much like Madonna. I think people overly compared her to Madonna, and Gaga and her management sort of went that route a little. Gaga was a show, rehearsing nonstop to perfection. Then she realized she was miserable and a cash-cow for the industry and could not handle life like that.
