Gaga’s intentions are good, results not so much

Although Gaga’s decision to get personal lyrically on her new album has some gripping results, musically “Joanne” finds the New Yorker spreading herself a little too thin and wide. Throughout the 11 tracks, Gaga variously pitches herself as a modern Darlene Love (“Come to Mama”), reimagines Elton John’s “Bennie and the Jets” with Florence Welch (“Hey Girl”), and on the woeful misfire “Dancin’ in Circles,” she clumsily muscles in on the grim recent trend for dancehall-lite.

The electro emphasis of “ARTPOP” might have left her sounding plastic, but the material on “Joanne” doesn’t offer a hugely satisfying upgrade.

TSUNAMI

Like she cares. She gets millions and you sit in your office and write reviews because you don't know how to make anything authentic that could even be criticized.

She wins.

As if they ever had any to begin with

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

we really thought this would be critically acclaimed :toofunny: I'm honestly at a loss for words, I can see where the slating came from for ARTPOP, sure the production was a little rough and experimental, but Joanne is gold. I think the issue is pop reviewers are reviewing rock music.
