Gaga has always been bashed by male, big newspaper critics who can't stand over the top melodies anymore. In the eighties, Jonane would have got a+ +78. AmenTheNight 1,084 Posted October 21, 2016 Share Posted October 21, 2016 ARTPOP's bashing from critics was to be expected considering she hopped too late on a trend that was dying at the time, and trying to being over the top musically after a very loud album. She had it coming. But this time, this is different, Joanne is actually a groundbreaking, innovative and amazing album, unique and impossible to compare to anything released recently in the pop field. These lukewarms reviews make me mad 'cause they're unfair, most of the time stupid and sometimes they don't even focus on the music. This album deserves at least 70+, but it looks like critics and media won't come back to Gaga anymore. And that's a shame 'cause they could not only help to sell albums and singles, but also to recreate a status that she lost (see : critics and media with Beyoncé before and after Self-Titled and Lemonade) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
