If Joanne literally only sold 10 copies I'd still be one of the 10 I understand what you mean though, it's frustrating to read so much negativity. Honestly just unfollow people who talk ****.. stop visiting GGD if it makes you unhappy. I've considered it a few times myself. I do want to point out though that Gaga has had "victories" since 2011. Plenty, actually. Maybe it's just time to accept she's no longer the "pop" star, and just a star/musician/entertainer. I'm sure the Super Bowl will be amazing, the Joanne era will be incredible, and she's starring in a major movie next year. Gaga's future is bright and she's still one of the biggest artists in the world. Buy Joanne on Friday You're right about the victories. My original comment was OTT and dont worry henny - i already preordered and will be buying physical friday
jljfjb 37
Breath, Go outside. get off this site.and take as much time to decompress from these thoughts and feelings. In the end, No matter what interest or hobby you may have.....There will be others out there that will not understand it. I can relate. Not exactly with Gaga, but i know how you feel. See, I am not much of a main stream fan. I am used to people not understanding why I am into the artists that I am into. And of all the music artists I enjoy Gaga is the most mainstream/modern. But there's something interesting about her. I admire that she changes her sound every album. I can see that being frustrating if you only liked the dance synths of her earlier days, but as an artist i respect her so much for it. I have friends that like other mainstream artists like Britney or Justin.. I don't get them... They don't get me. It doesn't matter. So I do not think you are delusional. You are attracted to her artistry for a reason. Enjoy it. But how well the gp thinks of her or how much she sells and how well "critics" rate her is not reflective of you.. and not reflective of how artistic, unique, or exceptional an artist. I promise you once you take a step back, stop worrying about what others think, and be true to yourself. you will be a lot happier. -cheers

The "stan" relationship with her and her success is unsustainable and unhealthy for everyone. Gaga can't keep chasing trends because it isn't who she is anymore. We'll never have another TFM, and you'll never have the ****-kicking victory of being a TFM/BTW stan again. As we get older, the things we appreciate change, and the metrics we use to gauge our relationship with a pop idol likewise need to change. Gaga has relocated to a totally different city, has faced a romantic separation that radically shook the foundations of her sense of self, and is coming to terms with the traumas she most likely either minimized or weirdly romanticized with her music the past several years. You don't come out of those experiences unchanged, and it's impossible for her priorities not to have re-aligned as she has rebuilds the collection of things that help her feel grounded and real and authentic. It's not about being a loyal stan. It's not about charts or bragging rights or being fierce. It's about seeing the pain and growth she's faced head-on, and loving and appreciating her for the passion and magic she's built out of her struggle. This happens to every pop legend who dominates the landscape. Do you think MJ and Prince and Madonna fans haven't had the same crisis in their lives? Omg GAGA is that you?! this comment literally has me SHOOK i needed to be slapped in the face. I was reading too much negativity today Dancin in Circles, Diamond Heart, John Wayne, Perfect Illusion, Sinner's Prayer, Joanne and Angel Down are some of the best songs Gaga has ever recorded at the end of the day
Ronk 14,765
Not a sport for me. I stan for Gaga because she is a good, kind person who does so much to help people. No matter what the outcomes of her music, she will always shine brightly as a person. Of course I hope her music slays, but in the end, it is who we are as people and how we treat others that really matters. Gaga changes the world one person at a time. She as greatly changed the lives of many, and has even saved lives. She does this by setting a great example and by being a mentor. I think changing the world is more important than a sport. I live outside the space time continuum.

SpadesToStart 3,582
To the OP, I don't mean this in a negative way, but if you may want to take a step back from Gaga stanning. Gaga is not interested in playing the pop game anymore, so if "winning" and widespread acclaim is what you need in your fave, maybe follow Gaga more casually (especially if you're still happy with her creative output). I would recommend you stop visiting Gagadaily and just focus on the music. Either that, or don't click on threads with negative sounding titles.
