During her chat show, Wendy touched on Gaga's recent comments about her wardrobe choices and sniped she had been “dressing like a clown” to get the headlines. “She wants people to focus only on her music,” Wendy said to applause of her live audience. “I think because you know there are so many talented people out there, and really, you know, it's very difficult to be that one that you guys adore because believe me and you, churches and schools are filled with people who sing better than Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Adele and what not, we all know this,” Wendy said. She explained that dressing in wacky costumes was Lady Gaga's 'hook'. “So her hook to get us in was dressing like a clown. What else do you call that? But it worked.
