Quartz 12,581
...she chose A-yo as the next promo single because of the Chainsmokers drama recently? I mean it's a promo single so it's main purpose is to generate buzz and what better way to garner buzz than to milk out feuds? Chainsmokers -> We smoking it all? It's just fits so well. If it were planned, kudos to her team. If it's purely coincidental, then I'll be more amazed. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
MaryJaneHolland 77,348
no, her promo plan doesnt depend on two one hit wonders
Marco 731
I hope her team isn't relying on petty feuds to promote this album
Dramatica 13,690
You are indeed the only one I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.
Yo GagaGaga 6,541
Didn't she preform it at the dive tour before the comments? Either way I think it was coincidental Spoiler but with Joanne's management so far I wouldn't be surprised if they did choose a promo single based on that
Guest
No, she's been hyping this track since before the track list was even announced. She obviously loves it.

Roman 2,860
Coincidence 'cause all those stickers for CDs were printed way before this drama. But what an amazing one, Gaga sure knows how to shake things up mdr

Logan 20,743
I don't think the Chainsmokers have that much influence over a worldwide superstar.
toewsy 1,842
OR what if they're all buds and all this was planned since the 5th, i.e. why she premiered it during the live show, as foreshadowing. And to think people say Bobby doesn't do his job Spoiler obviously not

HairBow 602
I highly doubt that's the reason. Putting this out there though: Why are so many artists so outspoken and a-hole-ish when they drag Gaga? Madonna, Josh Groban, The Chainsmokers, Karen-O, the Maroon 5 jackass, etc ... ? What the heck has she ever done to them? If you don't like the songs, fine, but MAN. This has been going on since 2009, when Bad Romance came out. I feel like these people act extra mean when they have negative opinions towards Gaga like this. I don't get it. In fact, the musicians/artists that are the most nice to her are the older legends (like Elton John, Sting, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, etc.) Maybe we can all just chalk this up to jealousy? It is jealousy. And the fact that they will get the buzz and 5 minutes of relevancy they're after. Also, Gaga doesn't drag relentlessly. We all know how Madonna shaded her but Gaga remained cool. They know there will be no consequences. Little did they know that the Gaga curse creeps up to the unexpected. Notice none of the names you listed sans the Chainsmokers (though the curse is already starting) are currently in the public eye and what you call "relevant" in 2016. It just takes time muahahahaha Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
