Shes always had those themes in her songs. The idea with this album is shes destructed her music into its simplest, most pure and raw emotional form. It's as she says, its a pop album at heart with heavy influence of mostly country and rock.

Correction: it has country influences on some of the songs, But as a whole, the album is not country.

I mean, Dancin' In Circles, country? Hey Girl, country?  :awkney:

I hope it's country, so it can win Grammy for Best Country Album and Gaga will be the Queen of Music once and for all for having Best Album of basically every genre

It really depends on the song. Sinner's Prayer has heaving county influence while DIC has none, for example.

I dunno why y'all are so against admitting it's country...?  It's obviously a country album, but this doesn't mean it's like a Garth Brooks country, a Johnny Cash country, or even a Dixie Chicks country, it's definitely pumped full of pop -- looking at the insanely catchy choruses and hooks.  There's obviously other genres too, but at it's heart, it's a country album, which is a subgenre of rock (and btw, rock music used to be considered pop music before synths came around so)

A-YO, John Wayne, Million Reasons, Sinner's Prayer and Grigio Girls (from the snippet) all have heavy Country influences.

Perfect Illusion isn't country :neyde:.

She said there's no overall concept, it's autobiographical. Each song should be considered on its own.

There's NOTHING wrong with country music, I think half the álbum is heavily influenced by it, don't keep on denial

It does have a strong country influence, but I wouldn't call it a country album. I actually thought the country would be a lot heavier, but besides a couple of songs, it was mostly an instrument here and there what gave it a slight country vibe.
