Hades 27,980
Gaga has said that she wanted to make a pop album again but in her way. (aka the country/funk vibes). Pop isn't only Redone or other synth/dance songs.

Shania's Come On Over (international) is Country/Pop and I'd say it's pretty similar in genre. Hey you can't go wrong with Shania.

Ikvs 2,576
All these people denying it... It's more country than any Taylor Swift album.
FFXSoul91 1,084
Definitely country rock/southern rock with dance/pop influence. If you can't hear that, you aren't familiar with the genre. Every track plays with different genres though, but I feel the aforementioned ones are the most prevalent.
SummerGirl21 780
I think it definitely has country elements. But PI, John Wayne, DIC, Hey Girl, Joanne, Diamond Heart, and Angel Down are not country songs. So...no, sorry.
saturn8893 30
totally agree, even though there are people who won't admit it.

DemeLarell 931
Ehhhhh. It''s so funny how people on here always have a job that makes them magically know Gaga's intentions behind her music and actions. Any who, she said she wasn't targeting a specific genre and so far I hear what she is talking about... but then again who cares... lets just bop in unity. lol Side note. My link stop working. Can someone PM me another link to the album?

Edonis 26,070
Sweetie I live Houston Texas and I see the youth acts all of the time at the Rodeo every year. It's not country. Kiii if they performed stuff from Joanne there they'd get booed off the stage. Collect yourself and your opinion. It's a pop album with some country influence along with folk, rock, funk, soul.
