"Angel Down" song discussion

My favorite song on the album, just edging out Dancin in Circles and Come to Mama for me

Probably her best, most mature, and most timely and timeless song of her career

The vocals ranging from raw and emotional to haunting and smooth in a matter of seconds

The production is absolute perfection; it's ethereal mix of retro and modern but still with Gaga's voice at the forefront

This a career-defining song for Gaga and the kind of ballad from her I've been waiting for her whole career and it comes at the best time. Bravo, Gaga :golfclap:

Her voice gets cut off at the very end of the song but if you turn up the volume you can hear that her voice gets cut off a few times before that. Its like she is pleading to get people to join her in saving the angels and she is trying so hard and people keep shutting her down, trying to stop her. She is able to take her last breath before getting cut off a final time which I think is her way of saying there is hope if we join her but she needs our help.

I keep on picking up on more nuances every time I listen. I wonder if all this isintentional. I feel like it has to be.

I love this cutting ending with her last breath just before, it reminds me the end of Outside The Wall

This is her best ballad honestly, the instrummental is something out of this world, and her voice.. It's perfection :'(

It's honestly really difficult to listen to the song.

I mean, I love it. Only because it cuts so close to home is why it's so... idk, gut-wrenching?

3 points in and ready for more

I was listening to Angel Down and my mom passed by in my room, she stopped to listen and said she loved it :diane: She never cares for my music :diane:

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

It only has lyrics influence from redone. It was produced by Ronson. It's not a worktape.

I meant writing  RedOne and Gaga wrote it together and I think it's the best song on the album. So everything that was scrapped is probably just as good or better :)

Do we all agree this should be a single? Sometimes things are more important than having a 'fun bop' and I think this could be a career defining song for Gaga.

Angel Down is clearly best song in Joanne.
