Hey Girl sounds like she is singing about some girl she is in a relationship with(althouh she says its abiut female empowerment). John Wayne is a huge lesbian idol. Perfect Illusion could be about her portraying a false heterosexual relationship with Taylor (perfect illusion) when in reality she likes women.
