I agree, if we had another source of Gaga news as quick I wouldn't be here.

Same. I only come here for news. But it's become tabloid trash.

Get ready for a rant that I've been brewing:

I am sick of the whining youngsters. The ones that whine and complain about lack of promo and lack of charting. Little chartsters and little managers if you will. Without 100% of knowledge of any situation and no real knowledge of exactly how the music industry works they  instantly blame management or gaga herself for not getting what they want.

What do they want? According to comments on about every social media outlet, they just want to be able to put other artists down and start fan wars and just list how many sales and awards Gaga has that over shadows the other musician. They just want the success and Redone music of TF and TFM. And they are seething because that didn't happen.

How many of you that are so upset about this era, but yet wish you could go to the Dive Bar Tour, AND YET can't because you are underage? Age has a lot to do with perceptions of the world. When I was a teenager I felt that a knew a lot but really did not have much experience in my life to learn from. And I'm still not a music industry promotional guru. And neither are you! Especially those of you still teens and people in your early 20s. In the words of one of my favorite authors "Children are not less intelligent than adults. What they are is less informed." Less informed with experiences and wisdom.

I'm 30. I am in NO way an intelligent girl with all the answers and wisdom. Maybe as you get older you start to care less lol. But I do understand why I am a Gaga fan.

I am a Gaga fan because I heard her play a piano ballad version of her pop song Poker Face like it was a broadway spectacle. I heard her play pop the way pop isn't really played.

I am a Gaga fan because of theatrical greatness. She showed it in all of her tours, and even the first Dive Bar Tour. She shows it when she goes to little jazz clubs with her friends too.

The only complaint I have about lack of promo is the lack of theatrical performances that I can watch haha.

I am a Gaga fan because of her values and philanthropy. It shows how mature she was, even in her mid twenties when she stated doing those things.

I don't think I have an infinite amount of space so I'll stop my list there.

But none of my reasons I'm a fan is related to promo, popularity, or sales alone.

Its just painful to watch this constant whining with lack of any real knowledge and experience in what you're whining about.

If you care about numbers you don't care about music lmao. we all know tons of trash music that sells millions. I try to accept that by thinking it's kids listening to it @Lord Temptation @lennon

Gaga grew up. Maybe it's time her fans do the same and leave the ''little'' of little monsters, behind.  I don't know if my sentence makes sense.

Tame Impala has been my favorite band for years, you don't see them promote their album much yet they are very successful (ok, they are not ''commercial'' but still). I think this is what she wants to do now and I RESPECT that.

She should re-release DWUW directed to her fans lmao.

But really, Ive heard songs like Peacock by Katy Perry and felt genuinely confused. No adult would listen to that ****, so it's for kids.Plain and simple. When Justin Bieber drops a song and some people say it's good... uh ok. I feel that anyone with a genuine love/good taste in music isn't all about the "catchiness" of a song, or a hard beat. Would I check out Britney's new album? No. Gaga? YES. And the GP is prob the same bc she's visibly talented. She already proved herself.

Eh boy...me too haha I am NOT a little monster.  I'm 27 and I just started liking Gaga because of Cheek to Cheek. I don't listen to her past albums I'm not that into pop music, except for piano/voice renditions, but I like her as a person and I can't wait to hear Joanne

Me neither! I'm never in the mood for pop music either idk. I'm more likely to think ab Gaga's older work than play it. It's an age thing, I was younger when Just Dance came out (obv) and it's just fun pop music, this is MEANINGFUL. And the title track sounds like some of her best work for sure. I'm proud of her for this. Get rid of the cult-like fanbase and get some real music lovers in here.

Gaga deserves to have fans that aren't also fans of.. idk Justin, Katy, whoever else. I'm honestly so glad to only see the titles of those songs and not hear them. "Rise" "Make Me (Ooh)" like.. I just don't need that, I'm not bored. I don't bore myself, ya know? I'm not that easily pleased. @lennon

The DailyStar is not a credible source AT ALL. This is just some cheap gossip to get the fans riled up and on their website.  :neyde:

I can't LOVE this post enough! Thank you so much for this and for saying, so eloquently, what many of us are feeling, especially us "older" fans (I'm 26). It's like you've taken so many of the words out of my head.

That acoustic piano Poker Face performance was definitely the "seal the deal" moment in my love for Lady Gaga. Her voice, her energy...it was classic, yet modern, and jazzy, yet still pop. I was a passionate, high school musician at the time that loved and appreciated jazz and classic rock and pop. I could tell from the get go that she did too and that was who she was. I felt a connection to her because of that and so much else as I was a smart, kinda nerdy, gay musician "misfit" that was into classic and vintage stuff and really wasn't all that different from everyone else, with a kind heart and positive attitude/warmth built from the best coping strategies, haha.

I grew up with the same music Gaga did (our parents are around the same age), so her being so inspired by those sounds and time eras is another reason I love her so much. She is classic; she has the soul of an old singer-songwriter and the theatrics of the best 70s and 80s rock and pop groups. This is why I am so excited for Joanne. I can tell this album really starts to eliminate some of the fluff and work to appease or whatever and is just going to be simple and honest to what she loves to do with music, not her manager or label or GP. It's what I loved about the C2C era, which was one of my favorites and where I finally got to see her live with a legend I've been listening to and singing along with since I was a child, Tony Bennett.

I could continue going off into tangents about this, but I'll contain myself. Thanks to all that have contributed intelligent, well thought out post on these last two pages or so.
