It is very important for today's queer youth to know their herstory, and know that the Ballroom scene is still living and slaying! Even for people in other countries without any balls (like me, in greece) it is also important to understand the reasons behind why this subculture was created. They paved the way so that the future generations can be out and proud and have basic human rights, and -hopefully someday- FULL equality.
