Trump supporter (and two others) arrested for domestic terrorism

A plot uncovered by authorities has led detectives directly to Donald Trump’s failing presidential campaign. Three men were arrested after it was discovered that they planned to blow up a mosque in Garden City the day after the election. One of those men has now been confirmed to be a supporter of Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

According to KWCH in Wichita, Kansas:

"Three men were arrested on Friday for threatening to attack an apartment complex and mosque in Garden City.”

“Acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall says Curtis Allen, 49, Gavin Wright, 51, and Patrick Stein were all charged with domestic terrorism. Beall said the three were planning to bomb an apartment complex and mosque in Garden City occupied by a Muslim community of about 120 Somali refugees.”

“Beall said the men planned to carry out the attack on Nov. 9, the day after Election Day. He said the men stockpiled a large cache of firearms, and ammunition. Beall said the men planned to park vehicles full of explosives at all four corners of the Garden City apartment complex. The men said they wanted to “wake people up.”

Whether this reflects back onto the kind of candidate Trump is or the kind of campaign that he's run is for you to decide for yourself. Personally, I'm not surprised in the least. He's validated and empowered a dangerous, hateful, and deplorable group of nationalists and racists in our country. I can't see how anyone could stand with him and his horrible base.

We need to remember that Trump isn't the biggest problem. It's his supporters. This Trump phenomenon didn't happen in a vacuum. He simply gives them a voice (he's still a despicable asshole). Once he goes away Trump 2.0 will rise and be supported by the same people.

Someone right now is planning to run a campaign similar to Trump's but without the scandals and exaggerated offense to certain groups.

The next "Trump" will be subtle with their rhetoric.

When a candidate of major political party goes on stages around the country and promotes debunked conspiracy theories, it just breeds more and more of these deplorables.  I agree with you, but he is doing damage that will last a very long time.

I think the regular media has done a great of job demonizing Hillary Clinton by themselves.

That has basically been the GOP for the last two elections fueled by Fox News coverage. So what you mean to say is that it will go back to normal for the GOP. Mitt Romney once said that he would have a better relationship with the British because they are both white.

Basically, someone will look at Trump and Robert Morrow (poor Texas) and say "the difference between these men is what I must be".
