The snippets sound so dope, so you have nothing to be worried about.

And if you're worried about sales, well, sales don't mean much these days. Look at the Chainsmokers at the top of the charts.

That's not good company.

I am afraid some of you need to deal with it and get used to it tbh.

Gaga will not go anywhere, but radios, magazines, and TV only play something when you pay for them to, it's business. And they are always leaning to newer and younger artists.

It will be better for you to not to worry about it, it is useless, seriously, what can you do to change the situation when the power is not in your hand?

Gaga doesn't seem to bother, and neither should we. Just enjoy the gift of music that she give.

Gaga has been dropping hints that she doesn't care about that. And neither should we. :hor:

This! Plus Joanne is going to teach the little manager to re-evaluate their s***.

I just dont want her to become another 'has-been' :saladga:

Same, but she can survive with enough critical acclaim on her work. It doesn't always have to be just #1s.

PI have failed a lot worse than applause, A LOT and the world have keep spinning, and the flop has barely been covered by the media

This gives me so much more hope than I already have. Good thing the media is on her side this time :diane:

I think her Team + her doesn't care about it. The album wasn't crafted to be a smashing record, so I don't expect a no. 1 debut or even top 3-5. I'm excited for the music tbh.

Of course I support her but is it so much to ask for a smooth era :saladga:

Stop using "smooth" and say what you really mean: an era with hits. C2C was smooth as hell and had 0 hits.

You don't have to try and hide your true wishes behind a euphemism for what you really mean.

Enjoy the music and stop needing validation in the forms of charts and hits to make you feel good about liking Gaga's music. If you really like something  then you shouldn't need your opinion to be validated to feel secure in that opinion.

When I became a Gaga fan back in 2013, I had practically no knowledge on pop culture and chart positions/sales tracking. I was intrigued by Gaga because of her performance of 'Applause' at the VMAs that year. I then delved into her past performances, music videos and interviews, thus realizing what a profoundly talented and thought-provoking artist she is.

Mind you, not once did I pay attention to the sales of Applause/ARTPOP, nor the sales of previous work when first getting into Gaga. It wasn't until I found GGD and ATRL that I started seeing non-sense such as, "Katy debuted 3 positions higher than Applause with Roar, Gaga lost her spark!!!" and other absurdity. There seems to be this strange tradition within stan culture where chart success is correlated with the likability/'spark' of an artist.

I think you guys need to backtrack and remember why you became a fan of Gaga. I'd hope it was for her music and charisma as a person + artist. As long as I get to hear great music on the album, I'm happy. I'd also be happy to see more great music videos and live performances from Gaga for the era. These are things I prioritize over any type of chart 'slayage'.

This is not a direct attack on the OP, just a thought I'd like to share

You don't deserve a point of view if the only thing you see is you.

I'm surprised anyone who even cares about her chart positions is still around. Not dragging anyone, just genuinely surprised. I thought the ARTPOP era weeded out anyone who expects her to maintain high chart positions. I guess I was wrong.
