When your basic human rights get violated because of something you cannot control it's not a first world problem.

However.

Asking the population to collectively turn vegan because you think chickens and cows should run free when there are millions in the world starving? That is a first world problem.

Especially taking into consideration that something like Julie getting a sex change doesn't affect cis heterosexuals at all. Me being able to get married to my boyfriend does not affect you at all. AT ALL. A flawed comparison. You forcing your diet on me? Hell no, that affects me and is essentially taking my freedom of choice away from me.

My mom is vegan too and she agrees it cheap, what's ur point? Vegan staple items are not expensive. Faux meats might be but those aren't essential. There's plenty of resources on the internet that show that you live cheap and vegan.

Top 1%? I meant poor people that don't buy their own food and have to rely on others are exceptions. If u buy ur own food at a grocery store, veganism is not out of reach to you. 

 

Well to maybe you those are fundamental human rights but to others, they're first world problem. You're also leaving out the fact that in America, 10 billion animals are killed every year. You're diet does impact lives. Innocent animals are killed. To you they don't matter and that's a shame, just like its a shame black lives don't matter to everyone. Animals have feelings, they feel pain and fear and you inflict that on them. You're choices do harm animals. You're an animal abuser by choice.

You couldn't be more wrong. Meat is a very inefficient food source. (If you take the same amount of plants, you can use them to feed either X number of humans, or Y number of meat animals, that can then feed Z number of humans. X will always be larger than Z.) Turning vegan is actually a thing that feeds people, and will probably be necessary in the long run.

Except the whole FDA opposition for keeping pet food safe. Remember when I told you about this in another thread? He doesn't even care about the most basic protection for pets. In fact, he's never even had a pet.
