Hexxx 2,244
Everyone seems to be against the TF/TFM fans this time around and it's annoying. There seems to be this misconception that fans of TF/TFM era only care about the charts and that we want gaga to stay in a box. We don't want gaga to literally go and do a TF/TFM 2.0 or album with 8 tracks about the dark side of fame again. Just No. I think the fans want a good quality dance/pop album, something to dance to. not a re-release of the same subject. The last time we got a fan acclaimed album was back in 2011 which was when Born This Way came out. An awesome mix of dance and rock n roll music. And that was 5 years ago. While ARTPOP was the latest pop album, it had a lot of mixed reviews within the fanbase and lot of us felt it was more of a let down, so it's only natural that fans would cry for another quality pop album after so many years. TF/TFM were just filled with iconic moments. Amazing music videos, fashion, performances, and tour. It was a really great era. So was the BTW era but i felt that it was cut short. Something stopped it being more than what it was going to be. but even with gaga's evolution, no era has been as great and well received as TFM's. As for Joanne, i feel that's going to be one of those special albums where we see a personal side to gaga. I think it could be a potentially great pop record that we all will love. who knows. I guess we'll have to wait and see All i'm trying to say is that TF/ TFM lovers want another quality dance record. Not a "chart topper" Please stop isolating the fanbase because of some missunderstanding. Maybe we'll get a dance record after Joanne and C3C. who knows. FATCAT 59,992
This ongoing "Let's get back to TF/M" has been around since BTW, and it got old really quick. and yes, some people literally want her to re-purpose old outtakes. Starbucks 4,204
Blame this to ha hip whose broke on BTW ball!! Since that accident, everything change, ARTPOP is the proof *No, just kidding* Your everyday cups of kindness
Bebe 17,093
I don't think everyone is against TF/TFM or those who love TF/TFM. I love TF/TFM I think some people are just frustrated at those who want her to go back to TF/TFM or keep expecting her to release another TF/TFM. The TF/TFM era was awesome, most people love the TF/TFM era. Also TF/TFM

display name 4,360
Personally, I find artists who stick to the same sound boring. I absolutely love The Fame Monster, but I loved Born This Way as well, despite how different it was from it. If she releases an album that sounds as if it could've been made by her years ago, keep it.
Hyoha 1,613
I get you, but it's not that simple. TF/TFM fans aren't being "persecuted" or "isolated" in here. I also wanted a dance-centered album, for example, but honestly Joanne sounds really amazing to me. To some people, though, it sounds like **** somehow. What annoys me the most is how a select few just feel like complaining and bitching as if Gaga owes them something. Also, Joanne is going to be a "quality pop album". I don't think she would release a bad album, ever. It's just a matter of style and preference from Gaga's perspective. Honestly, what's truly negative to this community as a whole is the constant complaining about Gaga. Yes, people are free to state their opinions and be negative about her and/or her work, therefore they should be ready for the replies from people who are annoyed by that. Cerny 4,270
The Fame/Monster fans definitely don't want Gaga to stay "in a box". The Fame Monster was her most "weird boundary pushing, avant-garde" era, for a pop star. It was the perfect mix between indie underground artist and catchy pop. The Fame Monster is my favourite Gaga album, and in my opinion, it gave us the best visuals, and when I say that I want Gaga to make something like it again, it's not that I want a copy and paste, it's because I want her pick back what she did back then and take it to the next level, because it was truly special and i want more of it. I'm here for whatever she puts out though, as long as it sounds and looks good.
BlaqJezus 1,027
I am from TF era, I don't want any of these things, and I find it annoying when others who are or aren't from then suggesting we should go back to it. What needs to be a part of the dialogue of the people who became fans from The Fame, is that Gaga has always and continues to change her artistry with each album. Joanne is no more surprising to me than The Fame Monster to Born This Way was, still quite surprising, but not any sort of departure from who she is. This is Lady Gaga, this is who she is, and as an artist, within the realm of her evolution's path. Pop stans who love her music because they worship some stagnant idea of what pop is, or what it should be, can kindly see their way out.

Jepsie 237
I feel like people saying they don't want another TF/TFM quality era are in denial and are experiencing Stockholm Syndrome. It is a disservice to Gaga as fans to tolerate mediocrity such ass the ARTPOP, C2C, and Joanne eras. She is capable of doing so much better and we should hold her to that standard and stop making excuses for her.

Yes but I think they're saying mostly saying they want something more dance able and I understand there are bops on JOANNE but... I don't know how to explain. Gaga has changed, her art has changed. There's nothing you can do about that. Complaining, bitching or being negative about her new material isn't going to solve anything for you. You won't get your "old Gaga" back. She isn't going back to TF/TFM "quality" any time soon. Also, she did put out amazing quality work since BTW. I love that album, I love ARTPOP and I love C2C. If you don't think she's making the kind of pop songs you want to hear, maybe you should just stan for another artist.

I listen to all kinds of music and am here for any genre (except jazz...) she puts out as long as it's good. But there is no denying ARTPOP was a mediocre album and that so far, the Joanne songs do not showcase artistic growth.
Phong Le 204
I wish they just stop complaining about it. Like if you're going to public go about how this is not to your liking then you re going to get public backlash.
