Underrated Pop Songs

Which Pop songs would you consider to be 'underrated'?

I consider many, but the list is two long so I will only give a description of two:

Viva Forever - Spice Girls

If you do not know the Spice Girls (blasphemy if you don't), they are the best selling girl group of all time. Despite their catalogue of cheesy hits like Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life, Viva Forever is lyrically about many things, but mostly about retaining the memories of a loved one. The message, production, lyrics and peaceful sound is what cemented the Spice Girls as "not just cheesy hit-makers". It was poorly promoted, but still managed to chart well and is considered their "best work", however I still do not think till this day it gets the recognition it deserves.

Dancing on my Own - Robyn

You can either know Robyn or you don't. Rated as one of the most underrated artists, Robyn has a catalogue of critically acclaimed songs that have done mediocre on the charts. However, in 2010 she released Dancing On My Own to critical acclaim with Slant Magazine and other many publications calling it "the best song of 2010". It is lyrically described about "heartbreak" and speaks of a woman who is dancing alone in a club watching her ex with another woman. To me, Dancing On My Own is one of the best Electro/Synthpop songs of my generation, it is timeless and did not get the recognition it deserved. The only justification it got was the Grammy nod.

What do you guys think? :)

Yes! She's this girl from New York who cooks Italian food for her friends and rides an actual horse. She's also both a daughter and a sister to family members of hers! If you're a heterosexual man, she really helps you understand the feelings of your heterosexual wife.

I forgot to mention a thing! Check out her new country single on iTunes, but the music's NOT country. :sis:

In all srsness though, "Lucky" by Britney. LOVE that song. It's a cryer, so I get that some people didn't want that from Brit, but it didn't even go top ten. Wtf. I know that chart positions don't necessarily equal critical reception, but I do think that there weren't enough people appreciating the good "Lucky" tbh.

GloZell Green

I will never forgive her for not releasing it as a single.
