I am not a ring wing or a leftist but I can agree with some right wing people from the new generation but progressives to me are insane and its getting worse. I see where you're coming from in a way. No sane person wants to control or revoke anyone's freedom of speech, some would just like others to understand that words, like actions, have consequences. If you spew hateful rhetoric, prepare to be treated like a hateful person. It's not censorship to ask someone to be considerate of others' feelings. There are some crazies out there that'd like to ban offensive words or something along those lines but it's hardly fair to generalize Liberals for, let's call them "SJWs", just like it isn't fair to judge conservatives for people like Trump or the GOP royalty. The majority is silent, it's the fools that speak the loudest and that's true for any group. There are some level headed people on the left that are open and willing to listen to opposing opinions without taking it as a personal attack or an infringement on their rights just like there's conservatives that aren't so rigid in their beliefs that they can't listen to anyone that disagrees with them without asking God to smite them for being a sinner or something The more government bit, that's really an opinion that each person has to hold for themselves. I like a larger government and more regulation myself. It helps to keep things moving as long as the citizens do their part to keep up the government. We've seen what happens when states and coorperations are left to their own devices and it's not exactly pretty and in most cases, it's the middle and lower class that gets stuck with the bill. Regulation helps to keep the ball moving in the direction that the majority who voted for the person(s) who put that regulation in place supports. That's another reason why this election is so important. Our government is standing still because our congress refuses to do their jobs, which garners them a single digit approval rating, yet no voters try to change a damn thing. That's how democracies always fall. The people get lazy, they stop caring, the government gets out of hand, then someone steps into power and they refuse to leave. I'd rather not take that risk honestly. We all know Hillary's past and how she governs when in office. She always reaches across the aisle and makes compromise to get things done rather than being pigheaded, stomping her feet, and having a virtual standstill on whatever legislative floor she's standing on. She'll elect moderates to the SCOTUS. At the very most, they'll be slightly left leaning and none of them, none of them, will oppose the 2nd amendment. That's an absurd concern to have at this point. There's no need to worry about your American brothers' and sisters' gun rights. Trust me. They're fine However, the fight for equality on the LGBT front (as well as women, blacks, hispanics, and now, sadly, Muslims) are still on going and uphill battles in the face of such rabid oppression. In that regard, Hillary is the only sane choice Just now, Whispering said: You aren't a registered libertarian in the US, because you aren't a citizen. Besides, I'm actually interested in what he's saying 1 minute ago, Goosey said: how do you defend supporting Hillary? She has concise plans to combat climate change while still keeping our energy sector alive and well! She also has 40+ years of experience and has worked closely with not one, but three presidents. If anyone knows what it takes to be commander in chief, it's her! We also face a (dying) threat in the form of ISIS and her service as Secretary of State is an invaluable resource in that fight Spoiler Oh, and Trump is worse That's just a few reasons though I think I'd actually still be supporting her even if she wasn't against Trump. Most liberals want to censor free speech and thats why sites like youtube and twitter and removing anything offensive and that comes from the left.. you also see it in collage campuses, Black Lives Matters, Feminists and the Media so its a big problem even if its not the majority, its effect is big specially that government want to support them because they hand government more control. Yes its not the majority but thats where the left is heading while the right is heading towards classic liberty and libertarianism. 3 minutes ago, Whispering said: You aren't a registered libertarian in the US, because you aren't a citizen.
