Bloody hooker 6,445
I just don't get how the phrase "the straights" come off as "hetero-phobic". The only reason why some people here use that phrase is only as a joke. This fanbase use to be super united no matter what phrase or topic was used before Grammy 2 Grammy happened. This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.
KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
There are straight fans because they dont know me yet, let's accept this. ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?
Stewful2929 786
I don't think they mean harm by it. When 95 percent of media is geared toward nuclear families you feel left out, alone, and not able to relate. Mostly all pop music is "straight music", but it's universal. It still is nice when you can relate to something though. I've accepted it long ago, but things are getting better. She may be bisexual but she most deff leans more towards straight and that's ok too. If you enjoy music that's all that matters. She's done more than enough for LGBT. TheKillerQueen 1,983
This has been on my mind for awhile now, but I was to afraid to say something about it on GGD. Thank you for speaking up. I sometimes feel pushed back because I'm "straight". It's understandable though since a HUGE portion of this fanbase are LGBT. Lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise. Bio 23,538
I don't hate straight people, but it's disgusting to see a man and a woman kissing. If they wanna do it inside their house, then it's their choice but don't do it in public. Think about the kids!!11!!!!

Sylvanas 5,768
1 minute ago, Lance Vance said: A "minorities can't be racist" tea That's true, though. I don't know where you are from, but in the United States they can be prejudgiced against white people. But not racist. The distinction is that when a black person hates on a white person, the white person is not in any way threatened. White on black crime, however, is a very real threat to black people in America, because it is ingrained completely in our Justice System. This country is ruled by white people. The judges are white, the police are white, and when they also happen to be racist it gives them the power to unlawfully take, abuse, and ignore black lives. Look at statistics, black children are 18x more likely than white kids to be tried and convicted as adults. Black people get harsher and longer punishments than white people, for the same exact crimes. It's a lack of human empathy in the mindset of authorities. A white kid kills, it's "how can we lock this kid up? It'll ruin his life. He's so young, he's like my kid. he made a mistake!" A black kid kills, and it's "This threat/monster/thug needs to be put away forever". Unarmed black kids (12 years old) get shot and killed by white police, and the media calls the kid an adult, a thug. People report on their criminal history, and paint them as violent criminals. A white kid can shoot up a church of black people in South Carolina and be detained alive, and unharmed. He'd be called a kid with mental health issues. The whole system is stacked against black people in this country. No wonder they are upset. You would be too, if it was happening to you. "Who are we, if not slaves to this torment?" giskardsb 12,565
The post was meant to provoke a conversation. Sometimes people on this site make comments insulting to others (most usually towards women) under the guise of joking or shade that would be immediately derided if they were targeted towards the gay community.
