She probably loves the guitar so much... only been learning for a few years so of course she is only able to play a few chords. Sure it's just a prop, but just give it time and she will be able to play anything!

Not really. Like, I guess it's a little redundant to have it there but not really play it much, but I think it's more of a prop to add to the aesthetic than something to make her appear more of a musician/more authentic.

I guess I am bothered about this because Gaga is obviously passionate about music, but this to me seems forced and exaggerated... Great singing, great piano skills, and then this is like an eyesore.

I do think she should practice playing a bit more first before roleplaying a guitarist. It didn't bother me much, but she was there to sing, so she could've stuck to that and still have performed nicely. I love when artists pick up new instruments, but we don't need to see the learning stages during performances.

I agree to an extent but this is kind of Gaga's entire shtick. She's very visual based, even when it's "toned down" like some are calling this era, she's playing a character. With Gaga, you have to believe her bullsh*t and either nod along when she says something a little whacky or does something a little weird otherwise her entire facade is blown. It's great if you're feeling it but it's actually annoying if you don't, it becomes abrasive.

Basically, try not to take it too seriously. She knows her abilities on the guitar (you'd hope) and the whole carrying it around stuff is just to feed into her current character. It can be a little tedious if you think about it too much but if you look back, you can say that about a lot of what she's done.

I think it's because she gets so consumed in her personas.  Right now it's Joanne.  the aht and guitar and whole aesthetic...she lives it..  Just look how dramatic she was being during the performance
