I remember when people used to say Marry The Night would smash as a winter single...

Never said that :hor: For me MTN was a summer song, because it sounds like an warm melancholic neon rush in large-scale disco...and all the people on the gas station are taken away by this neon giant.

AYO shouldn't be a single :emma: the instrumental reminda of Shake It Off too much

Well and Both Shake it Off and Ayo reminds me of "That's not my name" by Ting Tings..

LOL I don't think A-Yo sounds anything like Shake It Off.... it blows Shake it Off out of the water. The chorus is 10x more powerful and more colorful. Nor does it sound like MANiCURE.. it kind of reminds me of Better Dig 2 by the band perry though.

Not the whole song, but the beat of the verses is almost identical. A-YO is much better tho. The chorus is tottaly different and the instrumental is better.

Economy

I agree it has potential to take off. NOT MANY ballads take off in radio but when they do they tend to be massive

A new style from Gaga + her hype from superbowl gives her an advantage

But the innitial take off would be difficult for radio to start playing it. It would need more promotion than the radio interviews weve been getting

Tbh that 5th btw single would of flopped no matter which song she chose

Gaga was massively over-exposed up until that point (she hadnt had a major flop until then, every song was a hit to an extent)...

BTW after a huge first 2-3 years saw 3 singles crammed in a short period of time and the promotion on TV was constant

I never heard the GP so irritated and annoyed with someone for being everywhere all the time.

On top of severe over-exposure she Hit her peak of bad reputation of being too "weird and desperate"

I dont think Marry the Night was a bad single. Its just that the GP wouldnt have responded to anything at that point no matter what she released tbh :rip:

i agree,A-Yo doesn't sound like Shake it Off or MANiCURE,it's just a funk-groove-country-dancepop hybrid ,

but i think Million Reason's chorus sounds familiar to me,it reminds me of something maybe from Eurovision? it's like i've heard it before and i already know it,like a dejavu! maybe i listened to it in my dreams :laughga:

  • 3 weeks later...

I said it about Million Reasons :hor: At that time I did not heard all songs, i must add that there are better future singles than Sinner's Prayer, but Sinner's Prayer needs to be in an Quentin Tarabtino song.

Gaga and team, release the ****in' Million Reasons as the worldwide 2nd single and let it just happen honeys :hor: A-YO can still be the second dual single > especially in US.

But the world wants Million Reasons now ! Hope they film a video soon....
