Glamourpuss 29,062
I was disappointed with the songs she revealed at the dive bar show and when I first heard Million Reasons I thought it was basic and I was struggling to feel the same connection and love I had for Gaga but I've just got high and listened to that song again and suddenly I ****ing get it. The Joanne theme has suddenly all fallen into place and I can understand her viewpoint now. This is the best song she has ever done. I am in love with it. I wish her all the best with it because this song alone is a masterpiece and deserves to chart high (not that that's what she wants) and deserves to be acknowledged and awarded. I feel so happy that the wait has paid off. I always knew she was going to deliver something amazing. PS. I cried.
REALITY 76,234
These songs are definitely growers. I agree, at first I didn't get Million Reasons, or Sinner's Prayer [I thought A-Yo was amazing from the beginning though], but the more I listen to them, the more I'm appreciating and liking them! Million Reasons is so good! And A-Yo too!! It's such a bop! 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎
Babel 41,429
Gaga should bundle Joanne with some Mary Jane so the GP could love it too
Quartz 12,518
You really needed to get high to appreciate it? Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

Glamourpuss 29,062
I did need to get high to appreciate it because to be honest I am depressed and can't appreciate any music unless I get high. I should have clarified in my first post. It's nothing to do with the quality of Gaga's music. It's just I can't enjoy the things that would normally make me happy because they make me feel shitty inside.

I am also a strong believer that if the artist was intoxicated or under the influence for majority of the recording process than the music will just sound better under that influence also. I was totally not feeling ANTI when it came out but then I heard it once while painting and getting stoned and the album just sounded completely different. The vibes changed and the sound did also. Same thing happens with ARTPOP if you listen to it from start to finish with a blunt or two same thing will happen and the music will just change. It's like you get into the psyche of whoever you're listening to and you can totally understand what they were thinking and feeling when they created the record while high and it really does change the music.
