I say thank god she doesn't think about pleasing people when she creates music.

I seriously need a break from here I'm out

Isn't it awful that the actual Gaga fans (at least this era) are leaving this site to make place for all those who have nothing but criticism to spew?

I'm loving the music and loving Gaga. The only thing polarizing about this for me is how much I feel disgusted at the forum. Just being honest. (Like a lot of you here have no problem being). I thought I'd enjoy GGD more once the era starts but so far it's been complaint after complaint after complaint and it's just leaving a horrible taste in my mouth.

This entire forum is completely poisoned with desires of commercial success and vapid popularity. Like, poisoned to the very core. Nothing here can be appreciated without first passing through the filter and approval of charts. Anyone willing to just sit and listen to the music Gaga is releasing would realize how genuine and beautiful music she's giving us. But the music by itself has absolutely no meaning anymore.
It's incredibly distressing to see what the Gaga fanbase has become. At least for me it is :emma:

Is it really that hard to believe that every Album is what Gaga wanted to make at that specific moment in her life? :oprah:

When she says "ARTPOP was her first real effort", and then "Joanne was my first real effort" (not in the exact same words, but similar statement), yes you wonder if you can believe her.

When she says that they gave her time and space to do a perfect Bad Romance video, but only gave her a few days to do the Do What U Want video and that is why it was a mess and she didn't want to release it... but later she claims she was even more controlled back then than ever, yes you question if when did she have a real artistic freedom, and if her brilliant moves were even projected by her.

What does Gaga want? I don't think we will ever know.

When LG6 is released, it will be a dance pop album and she will claim that during Joanne she was asked to do something different and stripped-down, to please those who thought electropop is not real music, but LG6 is doing what she truly loves she is finally accepting herself (of course I'm joking, but giving her statements every single album era it's not as reachy as it sounds)

To me it all just feels inauthentic. Despite everything she has said about a return to roots and being her father's daughter etc, it feels like a ploy to win a new demographic and just way too on the nose. Let's go for straights, so, football, dive bars, and bud light.

Yet the whole crowd was Gaga fans and gays.... And that was absolutely clear as she was entering the bar. Stop.

So far I'm enjoying the music but I don't think it has that lasting impression or replay factor. I loved PI for a few weeks but now it's a bit tedious/repetitive and I think Million Reasons will be similar.

I don't think Joanne is any more or less artistic or truthful than her previous efforts though, it's just a style change. She calls it autobiographical but she was making that music previously but in dance form which I actually found to be more clever but we will see with the full album.

So far it's a 'nice' album, im awaiting that flavour or 'kick' that she usually provides.

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

Yes, her fans are gays. And now she wants a different fanbase. You didn't understand my comment.

You cant say perfect illusion flopped. It may still be in the charts in December who knows it wont be a flop then. Calling something a flop after a couple of weeks is insane. Gaga singles always grow

when was the last time Gaga had a hit that didn't debut high in the charts? I see people say her singles grow but they haven't done that since 2011.

I'm not excited about anything she does at all :toofunny:

At first I thought I just grew up, but this has just been a series of dissapointments... I'm starting to lose the interest in her... such a shame

I'm okay with the direction that Joanne is taking in this era. She should do whatever she wants to and if she wants to be personal and country thats fine.

But

the reason i became a fan was both her electronic pop music and her artisty and performances. She's not delivering that this time and that's fine, but I still expect her to offer us something more. If not in this era in the next one, and i hope we don't have to wait three more years.
