How so?  cauz you don't agree with them?

because they are taking a few words from an interview and extrapolating out the most extreme positions they can come up with and then attacking Gaga for it.

This doesn't necessarily mean boring or not exciting to me. Looking back, her performances that weren't controversial or pushing the envelope were still great.

Pretty sure the NFL is getting the show they desire, Gaga doesn't get THAT much creative freedom when it comes to the SB halftime. She might get some input on the set list, but she's not calling all the shots here.

Although I'll have a meltdown if there's no couture outfits, monster moments, and dance breaks

What I got from it is that she wants to push the envelope slightly, but the main focus is on the music obviously.

There's no need to be dramatic about it as always. :toofunny:

I'm sure she will give a bigger explanation at some point.

You guys are so lame. It's like you don't even know who Gaga is. You have no faith in her at all. Bunch of whiny babies. I'm honestly thinking about leaving this site. Reading this crrap kills my vibe.

She better use this opportunity and make US straights bleed (like she did during Paparazzi VMA 2009 performance) for not buying Perfect Illusion.

Can you IMAGINE if Gaga simply does some Coldplay act onstage?! Her whole ****ing career would be over because everyone, the press, even the haters, would be so disappointed...

I mean I'm sorry for being too emotional but please, Gaga, you should know better, don't waste this once in a lifetime opportunity...

It's obvious by now that the new Lady Gaga does not care about what her haters and wannabe managers want from her. The Super Bowl is not about you.

My stan card is on standby tbh.

She's getting me so irritated with the things she's saying this era,

Don't you guys remember why the media and the GP started hating her? No body want's 'weird' or unexpected performance art like being thrown up on. It's tiring and old. Even she is over it, hence the "The meat dress is so 2008" comment.

7 years ago that was cool. But it's just been done and it's outdated. We're in a period where all mainstream music sounds the exact same. She's here to impress people with music, not antics.

I think she means pushing the envelope in terms of tackling social issues.

The music, spectacle and elaborate design will still be there just not as much focus on say gay/racial equality.  It's about entertainment and not making a political statement.

I think the best example of what she's aiming for is Prince. Who was another artist expected to go completely over the top. But he showed restraint and focused instead simply on the music. And yet, to this day, it is praised as one of the greatest half time shows of all time, because it was first and foremost about the music.

Oh please... :duck:

That's exactly what everyone doesn't want Gaga to do... It's as if you're telling her to be like Coldplay last year, who by the way, was tragically lame. I don't think you understand the amount of backlash she will get from everywhere if she downgrades herself to this standard on that day... I'm not expecting her to bleed on stage or anything, but it wouldn't even be surprising or shocking to so call 'strip back' on that stage like some of you have said, it would really just be DISAPPOINTING, for both fans and the GP.

She said It's her second priority to focus on the costumes. I don't know If it's the place to the push the envelope in other ways. Do not hop into conclusions. She does not know, yet. In addition, her wording means is that she wants to focus on her creativity, but her main priority is to please the football fans. Meaning that she wants to focus on her voice more than focusing on her costumes, etc.

Well costumes shouldnt be a worry for a 15 mins show, it doesnt make sense tbh even if its Gaga were talking about, 1 costume is more than enough

I couldn't be less bothered:classy:

I mean, I'm watching Prince's halftime show for a few times already this week and I must say, it's definitely one of the best halftime shows, regardless of it not being as extravagant as the most recent ones.
