Let's first deal with the elephant in the room. Perfect Illusion is Gaga's biggest flop lead single. Quality wise the song is also awful and has put off a lot of listeners who wanted to like Gaga again. I simply think she's lost her ear for what makes good music. She's no Rihanna/Taylor Swift or even Katy Perry when it comes to knowing how to recognise what is a hit single. So expect more flop singles from Joanne. It's good that she's doing the SuperBowl so she can protect and conserve what's left of her pop legacy. I once thought she'd have a  career spanning 30 years like MJ but those days are gone. Gaga is no longer a pop titan and we need to accept this fact. The next era will flop even harder and her budget for videos and performances will continued to be slashed as we have seen with the PI video.
