Gaga's TF/TFM looks were ICONIC on the level of Madonna's ripped fishnets/cross necklace and Michael Jackson's hat and white glove imo. People will be associating these images with her for years to come (hopefully  )

I was so happy with whole born this way era looks  but then ARTPOP came..

I think there's a certain image you can associate with each era. Not exactly the era symbols (the lightning bolt, cross, pink triangle, Koon's ball, and whatever Joanne will have) but something else. Usually her hair or a common theme in the outfits of the era.

As for her as an artist, all that comes to mind is the Monster Paw, piano keys, and the "OK" symbol over the eye
