Because I am. Gaga deserves to be remembered as a legend. She's one of the greats. It's on us, sistrens. We have to keep the dream alive.

Gaga is bigger than an "era." She's earned her right to explore her artistic interests beyond my personal taste. I will keep on stanning, even if I'm let down with Joanne. Becuase I love Gaga and I love what she represents.

I agree with this part so much!This is how you should form a "semi-negative" opinion, without bashing Gaga and remembering all this above. She's more than one era, and I'm happy there are people who love her not only for music, but her as a person. To answer your question, I'll keep stanning her even though I wouldn't be here for this album (I doubt though that will happen)

I don't think we can critic an album beforehand, and I still wouldn't listen those monsters from listening party too much. I  was hella scared when it was said that the album has strong country influences (it's my least fav music genre)... and according to this Jeff, it wouldn't hold true... So I don't know yet what to expect. Also people might hype the songs that will not become my favorites from the album, or ignore the ones that I will love. Some people think Electric Chapel is a filler, when I love it. (I don't think there are any fillers on BTW). Also, there will be C3C coming and A Star Is Born-soundtrack and even hopefully LG6 (in far distant future ) to look forward to.

My opinion is that this overall negativity here starts to catch everyone here to a degree... I may not even visit this site after the album drops, I'll just listen and listen to it and form my own opinion during a week. I already love PI, I think I will love the album too.

I don't want you to leave, I love your input and topics here! You have eye for detail in music and visuals in general, it's interesting to read your opinions!

I think I'll always be a fan. PI didn't meet my expectations musically but neither did Applause or BTW. My only problem with PI is that it's got older quicker than her previous leads.

In terms of the single charts it's a market for kids, teenagers and 18-25. If Gaga is moving away from music that caters to that demographic I'm not fussed tbh. We don't know how Joanne will do on the album chart, she's probably got access to a wider market through her work from 2014-2016 and it seems like the music might have the biggest universal appeal yet, so there's every chance that it will be a success, maybe a big success. If it is received well by critics then we could see her debut at number 1 and actually retain it beyond the first week. 

Her promo hasn't been as intense this year but we will have performances... GN has been announced (which is the same show Adele previewed 25 on) so we have that at least.

I'm anticipating this album more than any of her previous work before, she's finally in a fully creative space and not just producing huge hits thank GOD! Can you please change the title to "are you ready to stan for a raw, emotional, stripped back and fully creative Gaga. A Gaga we don't know yet but can have the chance to fall in love with"

I honestly think I stopped stanning her when she released ARTPOP, not being I didn't love the album or anything, but because I'm just getting older and have other things to worry about. Yeah I do agree that this era is pretty dull right now, and never in a million years would I have thought she'd walk around in the same 10 pairs of denim booty shorts or film a music video in them, but I'm still going to give Joanne a chance. I'm not going to force myself to like an album just because it's Gaga though. I'm done doing that for an artist. If an artist doesn't put out content I like, I'm not going to be interested no matter who it is. Gaga will always have a special place in my heart, but that doesn't mean I should blindly follow something I don't like because it's her.

I guess I don't understand the OP.  How can we know Gaga will be unpopular when the album has not even been released and we don't know what promo will occur when it is released?  I don't think Gaga should be dragged based on speculation that the album will be bad or it won't be promoted in the future.
