OMG I'm sorry you guys but I can't stop staring at her sunglasses and the ring light as if they are her eyes!!! I m absolutely 100% SHOOK!!!!!!!!!! SHOOK, my friends!!

This may be simply 'Music Choice' but it is one of the "classic" Gaga interviews if I've ever seen one! Her eyes look like a 3D masterpiece! And I'm saying all this without even having smoked weed today. Just imagine if you were watching this while high on weed?! Seriously!!! I'm living for this interview footage! This is classic Fame Monster-era Gaga!!! YAAASSSSSS!!!

Lol I would rather stan this Gaga over who she used to be tbh. Not that I don't absolutely love her past eras, but I'm living for this laid back, "music first, everything else second" vibe.

This era is going to weed out more fans than the Born This Way and ARTPOP combined.

There aren't really any left to weed out :laughga:

Does she even want people to "stan" for her at this point?

I honestly mean that in the best possible way. She seems to be perfectly happy with her career and doesn't seem bothered by being less popular than she used to be.

She lives for the applause, she loves being in touch with her fans, but I don't think she wants any of us telling people to buy her songs or request them on radio. I believe she just wants us to enjoy the music, go to her shows and let the sales/promo part happen naturally.

I don't believe she would be okay with any of us gifting her singles on iTunes 10x with our hard earned money, for example.

Just my thoughts. I'll keep watching her videos, interviews, buying her new material as they get released and stuff but I don't see a point in stanning hard for anything anymore. Maybe I'm just getting old. :madge:

What I'm missing, and truly craving, is the SPECTACLE of Gaga. The showmanship. That star factor that made her into an icon. It's like that spark she had that made me know she was on the level of Michael Jackson; larger than life. I want her to be hungry for success, and I fear that she may have become complacent with it.  I know she still HAS it in her, but I can't see it right now so far this era.

You hit the nail on the head with this idea, for me.  The phenomenon of Lady Gaga is so intriguing and successful because she is equal parts straight-up, highly accessible, unadulterated pop with a twist (I'm talking weird sh1t like Scheiße and Government Hooker) and someone so other-worldly and fascinating (like the meat dress and telephone music video, the weirdest, most fashion-forward, entertaining pop music video in a very long time). In a sense, she's sort of a projection of what we all want to be, which is mainstream and accessible but at the same time different and bold. While Michael Jackson, Madonna, etc., are arguably bigger in their legacy (Gaga's only 30, so of course she has plenty of time to change this), no one has managed to capture and live their life by this dichotomy as perfectly as Gaga, in my eyes. So while I think PI is her second best single (second to BR) in terms of music, it is by far her worst single era because there's nothing bold about it. The boldness can come from anywhere: weird fashion, interesting music videos, alter egos, killer performances. There are literally so many things that could make it bold, but nope, not even one god damn HQ performance. Weird coming from the woman who wrote Applause, no? And I understand that the pressure of being wildly commercially successful, wearing a weird outfit every 5 hours, doing promo all the time, shooting crazy videos, putting on alter egos is overwhelming and impossible to do for 8 years straight, so I don't blame her for dropping the single, music video, doing a couple thousand interviews and then dropping off the face of the planet. But you have to admit, it's sad to see all the spectacle, and even performances, go :(

Not to undermine my OP... I still stand behind all those comments. Perhaps even more now, now that we've reached 7 pages. Still there for it.

you haven't even heard the album yet. you're being ****ing ridiculous. just because she hasn't done things the same way she has the last 8 years, she's all of a sudden not worth being a fan over? why must she stick doing the same things? do u want her to wear meat and make pseudo-simplistic pop music with over conceptualized hodge podge ideas the rest of her freaking life??

edit: OMFG IM SO SORRY i totally misinterpreted your post! omg i misread the ending lol!
