song wise no, but the era sux. I don't care about promo in the terms of it needing to sale more but releasing your first lead single in 3 years and don't even peform it anywhere the first month it's out when she is one of the best peformers of this generation is just sad. I really hope once the album is closer she will start promoting the song or move on to a second single.

The song was a major letdown for me. I streamed it about 15 times and then I remembered it was gonna flop whether I stream it or not, so I quit doing it. I probably listened to it 5 times. Probably watched the video about 3 times.

Song's production, lyrics, video are all meh.  Terrible choice for a comeback, she needed to go full commercial this time IF WHAT SHE WANTS IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS LONGEVITY AND LEGENDARY STATUS because that's something the GP gives to you, not you fans  , unless she's fine with becoming the Cyndi Lauper of this generation and I guess she is because that's the road she's taking.

The video is basic, the flashing lights made me hate it right away 'cause it gave me a headache, the quick camera shots are annoying, the production is not what I expected from Mr. Ronson or Bloodpop. Lyrics wise Gaga tried hard to be relatable (you might not agree at all with this) that, to me, if feels forced. The chorus is too repetitive and every singing part is so loud you can barely hear the instrumental.

But why commecial? Because there was no hype for the album except for the fans. NO HYPE. She needed her 'Work', her 'Umbrella', her 'Set Fire To The Rain' (literally what I expected from this album ) to get people to remember her, to revive her hit songs and iconic videos and performances.

The visuals are in no way fresh. Short shorts, a top with a visible bra and a ponytail. Half of this is the trend right now. She's following trends and it's something I didn't expect, did you?

I guess all this put together caused the great disappointment to a lot of us.

This thread and many of the replies highlight a key issue on GGD. People don't understand subjectivity. It's amazing to watch people back and forth "this is bad" "no it isn't" "yes it is" "no..." Christ. It's tiring.

Feeling personally letdown is fine but I never understand why people with negative opinions are so FORCEFUL. To those of you dismissing people's opinions, saying they're "forcing" themselves to like it etc, get a grip, honestly... You aren't better than anyone else.

 Some people don't like it. That's your opinion. Stop trying to force everyone into falsely admitting they don't like the song. It's one of my favorite she's ever put out.
