Oh good, you don't spend all your time virtue signalling on your controversial gagadaily thread, nice to know.

If anything, that comment was probably facetious.

On a serious note, I think, as much as Gaga really puts the effort into being socially aware, she is still a rich White woman who grew up in a very American, very patriarchal society that horrifyingly favors meritocracy.

In turn, she is fairly traditional in that aspect- although, she has definitely redefined it all to be more inclusive to all genders, ethnicities, and class (even if it always isn't realistic).

On that end, I'm not always surprised that she'll let some things, that aren't necessarily completely PC, slip. Like a few years ago, when she called something surrounding BTW's criticism "retarded" (which she has apologized for), or when she says something that ties power inherently to masculinity ("gotta have balls"), or weakness to femininity (whatever the hell she said in OP).

Is she the best at it? No- but nobody is. She can do better, of course, but everybody else can. What matters is if she's actually putting in the effort to.

You must be really delusional to think that it's because of her saying that her father cried :smh:

Please, go somewhere else if you're not mature enough for a discussion on social matters. Or read quietly, maybe you'll learn something.

Hahah of course not.  I also go to school, live in a big city, experience many different types of cultures, I'm highly aware of diversity and I'm considerate of social justice issues and dream of educating all of Gaga's fans who seemed to have learned nothing about peace, kindness, or equality from her BTW era.

I don't understand what is abnormal about male sea horses carrying the offspring. That's how reproduction happens in that species.

They are not  considered as real by some, or in some countries majority  of people, yes. That's why spreading awareness is necessary. If they were not considered "real" by the Govt., they would not be legally recognized. Scientifically non-binary gender is recognized.

Seahorse pregnancy is abnormal when you relate it to all living life and alot of people dont know that only male seahorse gets pregnant and they get shocked when they tell them a they will think its abnormal.

Just because you have a right from the government, doesnt mean they recognize you.. for example, I have the right to claim im god or jesus and live as one my whole life and government will respect my right to be one but doesnt mean they recognize me as Jesus.

We must spread awareness? you mean spreading feminist propaganda that hurts the transgenders cause? it is not recognized by science so please stop saying that!! if you want to know what science says, here you go:

None Binary is a term born out of academia like gender studies courses but it has no basis in science. When someone tells you they are gender binary, they are telling you less about their gender identity and more about their ideology. When you observe the brain structures of male to female transgender, what you see is that alot of areas of the brain are actually similar to that of biological women. So you can kind of see how someone whos born with these brain structures can end up going through life and developing dysphoria like something is wrong with them when in reality its just that their brain and other factors are female while their body is male. We need to tell these people the truth and what science says instead of giving them a subjective ideology just to benefit feminists or whatever and hurting them more as transgenders.

No, not everyone is dragging me though.  There are people who came to participate in a discussion, then there's some people who just came to expel anger towards me and enjoy an opportunity to say something shady to somebody else online.  Just realize the objective of this thread for me was to not be one of those people who only come here to throw shade.  I was only trying to get an important message across.  Either way, i was able to get everyone to come to my thread and hear my message, regardless of their response. :)

Tonight, I ask you to think about what learned you learned regarding peace, kindness, and equality, also promoting online kindness, from Lady Gaga's BTW era!

2. If you aren't trans then why not accept you aren't educated on it and stop spouting offensive lies? If you think that's what science tells us about sex and gender....you don't know science.

4. I suggest you pay more attention/learn when you travel the world then because there's lots of countries and cultures that don't enforce a gender binary

5. I've asked you several questions to try and help you understand and you ignored them all and yet demand I educate you.  I also DID educate you on why not to use transsexual and you insist on still using it so it sounds like you just want to be offensive.

Anyway I'm not going to try to teach you anything else as you just skim over all facts people have presented to you because they don't fit the opinion you hold.

What are you talking about? when did I ignore your questions? and when did I ignore facts? you did not educate me or given any facts, all you did is gave subjective opinions that you believe I should take as a fact! and give me an example of a country that recognizes none binary people. Also, I did not say im not a transgender.

I dont want to be offensive but I dont know why I cant use the word transsexuals when I did not use it on an individual, I used it as a term and you seemed offended for no reason. If I come up to someone and call them a transsexual then I understand but thats not what I did.

Umm they exist therefore they're real. They have rights therefore they are recognised. And for the last friggin time scientific evidence supports non binary people so stop saying it doesn't. What decade is your science from?? Like seriously what else is there for you to question?

Just because you have rights, doesnt mean you are recognized.. If I say im Jesus, I have rights too but I am not recognized by anyone including the government that im Jesus.

And I hope you've learned feminists are not the only ones who want equality and are certainly not the best at going about getting it. You need to man up and accept a non issue for what it is. I don't see you making threads critiquing her use of the word mankind, so you do seem to be semi capable of distinguishing between real issues and non issues.

Why do you virtue signal? It makes me feel better about my lowly existence.

And to be honest mainly because you're indirectly suggesting people who don't agree with you don't agree with the ideas of equality, love and fairness etc etc like a typical feminist really.

Infinity Wave

Ok so almost eveyone told his opinion so I'm gonna tell mine.

I'm frightened. I'm frightened because we are searching for a sexist message under a slang expression. I'm frightened because someone actually feels uncomfortable for expression like "that girls has balls" or "manly crying".

Regarding the second one, I think it's clear that a man hasn't got the same voice/tone/register as a woman, except someone who either has got a girlish voice or forces his own to get that result. But the point is, she was underlining that her father was crying in silence, not like shouting or speaking with a head voice. That is. Girls cries differently. Normal differences. Everything is normal, nothing is sexist. Admitting these kind of differences between men and women is not sexist. Is reality. Like, why would you ever focus on the way a man and a woman cry? We are different. That is. If you don't accept that men and women are different than go back to school and learn something about human science.

Regarding the expression "to have balls": do we really wanna live in a world where even a slang expression that does not insult any kind of man or woman, that is commonly considered a compliment, that actually means "to be really brave" and that's not used to hurt someone's feeling - do we really wanna live in a world where this kind of expression is considered sexist?

I don't. And that's why I'm frightened. Because just as much as that expression is not sexist, your (referring to the OP) thoughts aren't just femminists, in my own personal opinion, they are slightly extremists. You're way too overlooking into it, and the fact that you feel actually offended, well... that's not being a feminist of defening the absolutely true genders equality, that's being and extremist from my point of view.

(I didn't mean to be offensive, English is not my first language and this is the most moderate way I could express my thoughts.)
