It's just a normal conversation between her and the interviewer. It's not like she doesn't befriend women because she's misogynistic or what, she literally has a song about female empowerment and solidarity called Hey Girl on Joanne.

I understand.  The point I'm trying to propose to is not allow such remarks to be considered "normal" in conversation.  In fact it is normal for men to cry and it should never have to be defended.

Why is this dumb thread still open @Haroon

Because deleting it would be highly disrespectful to those of us who are considerate and aware of the inaccurate stereotypes and expectations regarding gender in society.

I can't believe people are using "feminist" and "SJW" as insults on GGD. Being anti-feminist means being anti-equal rights for women.

Enjoy being a status quo warrior~

I had the exact same thought. Did not expect the terms "feminist", "social justice warrior" and "lesbian" being used as insults on a site dedicated to Lady Gaga.

I think saying "have some balls" is like saying "hey guys". It doesn't really imply gender/sex. It's just a general term/slang.

They will change when science matches your claims.. only two genders exist. Also, there is a difference between the genders male and female. Also, if you believe male and female is a social construct, why do you believe that other genders exist and how does transgender people change genders? I gues your social construct fantasy only applies to white straight people!

Can you stop with the evo. psych bs? :air:

Just because women and men on average have differences does not mean that society should run as if these are absolutes and force people to conform to those ideals :saladga:

Gender is a social construct, it's not just a belief, its actually very much demonstrable if you know anything about sociology or anthropology (or even history to get specific). Just because something is "socially constructed" does not mean that it is not real. If you really do some research, genders besides what we now know as "male and female" have existed since pretty much we have had record of human civilization. The most common one people tend to know is native american societies that acknowledged and recognized a third gender, or "two spirits"... There are tons more though.

Finally, Trans people do not "change gender", they go through a myriad of steps to correct psychological, mental, or physical dysphoria and align how they feel with how they look or are perceived by society

Also, no one said anything about white straight people :emma: #VictimComplex (I'm totally kidding :rip: )

Been lurking on here for a while, but this thread brought back to my attention lady gaga's ongoing sexism. See you guys think she has just used phrases like "manly cries" and "grow a pair of balls,", but her unknowing hatred of her gender due to the patriarchy doesn't end there, she refers to the homosapian species as "mankind" many times in videos on YouTube. We really need to educate her as to the effects her words have on women who are discriminated against, like those women in Saudi Arabia who can't drive, and the victims of FGM. And we thought she was liberal, yeah, as if... And to the people who think gender labelling is merely a semantic issue and the labels one applies are contingent on whether you use the word to define the chromosomes one has or ones own "identity" how very ignorant of you.

Does she really think men do more dangerous jobs per capita, more men commit sucide per capita, men are treated unfairly in custody cases, and that more men per capita are in prison, she needs to EDUCATE her self and start helping these poor oppressed western women.

I have educated myself. Sorry if it offends you. I'm strong enough to know the truth. If you're on the side of the majority it's time to stop and reflect.

Women have more rights than

men. Female circumcision is banned and they have the right to opt out of parental responsibility.

So what civil liberties would you like? (The ones men have and you don't) just so we can start to make some change around here and help the women.
