It just plays the most popular songs. If PI would sell like crazy radio would have to play it anyways. She did set trends before but that is not something that is easy to do or something that happens all the time. That is why she always struggles to have a hit. Because she releases things that are very out there and different and it takes a while for people to appreciate what she is releasing. And Bad Romance was at the peak of her fame so people were going to make it a hit regardless. Finally, radios do choose what to play. Sure if a songs goes viral, they are more likely to play it. It's not gaga alone who achieved this, it was a whole team, including a manager, a choreographer, a visual director, a fanbase ... Back then she did everything, used every opportunity to promote her material, to gain fame, to grow as an artist to who she is right now. But now, after all that happened it seems like she lost interest just to perform her new lead single and that makes me a bit sad.. It's not that she doesn't love promo, money, #1, awards... we all know she does, if she didn't she should have stayed at the bars in NY.. + there is nothing wrong with setting goals to become famous or to achieve something in your life, because that's good and I'm really really really proud of her and I think we all are, in the end she is one of the few who achieved such a success.. And for me it isn't about the #1 or the promo, or the awards, but at least some performances or appearances would be nice.. I understand that she doesn't like all the "cow cash-milking"-thing but there is more than that.. It just feels like she doesn't even bother about the music anymore, and it makes me feel confused and sad.. And I love her, I bought her albums, I bought PI, I went to her tours, because I love her and her music, I even want to get a tattoo of her next summer.. But it's just so strange for me, because she wanted to be famous, and now she is and IT SEEMS like she doesn't care anymore.. In fact, her leads are always a surprise. Sometimes it pays off, sometimes it doesn't. Bad Romance did have at least more promo, definitely.
