What are u talking about? I drive to work and back ever single day and I never heard it yet on any Toronto station . Except only once on Sirius xm sattelite radio

Check virgin radio play history. Were up to 6 plays today (the #1 hits get 8-10) so its pretty solid. Heres the play history:

People saying this isnt worth it dont realize how well it has actually veen working! And Im Way ahead of you. Already spoke to 1 of the Mods about having a pinned thread for the top 5 North American Metros for the 2nd single (NYC, LA, Toronto, Chicago & Dallas)

 

She has to talk to others I think but she said she doesnt see why not

 

Its too late to start in America now for PI tho with it already falling in US radio

Yeah. Requesting works better than people realize.

 

But 3 things are required for it to work:

 

#1 lots of support. You need many people sending requests with different emails. They wont repond cause only 1 person requests. And they wont respond if the same person keeps requesting

 

#2 be smart. Dont get everyone to send requsts all at once or it looks suspicious. When i do these call out threads, i send PMs at different times and do my requests at different times

 

#3 add variety. When u send request messages be different sorts of people. But dont be too many unlikely people (like soccer moms). Instead be a believable balance. In like 70% of messages sound like an exited teenager or an adult liking to hear it come from work

 

only in like 30% of my requests i try to sound like something unique

 

Also dont mess up by sending a request more than once with the same email and pertending to be different people

 

If you do it right this sort of promo works. I wish i could spread it out to rest of Country but its been exhausting enough just doing Toronto  

 

But its worth it. Too see a mediocre innitial reaction from radio and a slow fadeaway after a week, just to suddenly having it surge after we started this promo

 

 Now its in the top 10 songs of the city of 6 million and its all thanks to people that are listening to my spamming

If it's really getting that many plays in Toronto then its working! It's not just a fluke. Thanks for all the info! This should definitely be more of a pushed initiative for the next single, much like we used to do in past eras

In a few days i will stop this. If it was enough play to catch on with the GP then it should self-sustain

 

If the plays fade, then at least people were made aware of it and I cant say its because radio didnt give it a chance. At least in my city

 

weve had solid airplay in the city for 5 days now with today and yesterday being the highest. I hopw it will stick!

Congratulations and thank you to the little requesters! We hit another record of 6 plays from our largest pop station yesterday!

Here's what the past few days were like:

September 25 - 3 plays

September 26 - 2 plays

September 27 - 5 plays

September 28 - 6 plays

It's working!  We just need to sustain this for at least a week more and a half if possible 

 

Now, you may not like PI or if you're losing hope, please keep in mind that even if we aren't hitting any important top 10 for now, this would also help the Album and the 2nd single. So please, just drop one request for the whole day and that is already a lot of help. I won't be staying here around as frequently as before because the whole site has been getting toxic and negative in general, but I hope this little bit of good news gives us some extra fighting spirit.

A few reminders: Try to add some little backstory to your request--you having lunch, driving to/from work, meeting some old friends, enjoying how PI is different from other new songs that sound similar, etc. You can base this on the radio stations' recent plays and when they last played PI.

That makes it look like we are actually listening to their broadcast. But if you don't want to go through all of that, then just requesting is fine.

Please don't spam them if you have alternate e-mails (or emails of your friends/families--honestly, the radio stations dont even seem to check--and you can use their nicknames or aliases in the name field, no need to put the full name)! Request every 2-3 hours and ideally between 7am- 5pm EST because that's when more people are tuning in.
