Isn't It Bad That π Doesnt Sound Like Joanne?

Like isn't that messy? I'm thinking that if someone from the GP likes it, they'd be disappointed by Joanne bc Gaga said PI isn't indicative of Joanne… but if someone hates Perfect Illusion, then they wouldn't even wanna give it a listen. Stupid, I know.

I know it's gonna flop disasterously either way, so it's not a chart thing, I was just thinking that it was interesting that she has released an outlier on the album as the lead

I don't think it's going to be that much of an outlier despite what she said. I think she said that more to give hope to the fans who hated PI.

REALITY

We haven't heard any other song from the album yet, though. Yeah, she said that PI isn't indicative of Joanne—which is sort of a given because it's Kevin Parker's only song (if I'm not mistaken), and PI was originally his idea—but we just can't really tell know because we haven't heard anything since.

I think pi and joane will sound more like each other than all her other songs.

But there will be some variety and im excited about that.

I'm confused by that statement. Will PI stick out then?

I think they're asking was it a bad idea to make PI the first taste of Joanne if it apparently doesn't sound like the rest of the album.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Well, it probably doesn't sound like the rest of the album in a way similar to how Born This Way doesn't sound like Heavy Metal Lover or Bloody Mary.

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

According to you if it's going to flop either way why do you care if it reflects on Joanne as a whole or not?  :oprah:

For the meanwhile though I'm just going to go by what she said on Twitter so I don't have a certain expectation in which direction she's going with.

If that's the case it doesn't matter what she would've made as a single if they're apparently each different in some way or sort. I'm sure they all fit together though.
