Its a high charting hit all around the world. Ok its not one of the biggest songs of the year but its a hit we should be happy and forget about the numbers an chart positions to some degree because she is doing well and I love PI.

High charting? Where? It flopped literally everywhere. Make a research and stop exaggerating things

Seriously though, who said Gaga isn't Pop? It seems to me that a lot of people have a very narrow mindset when it comes to Pop music. Like there's some specific sound Pop music is supposed to be.

Just because she's not autotuned to hellĀ singing songs about screwing cousins inĀ rovers or whatever other banal nonsense is on the radio today doesn't mean she's not doing Pop music.

Perfect Illusion is Pop, it may not be autotuned, recycled beat, mindless lyrics, Top 40 Pop but it's still Pop music. Adding guitars and using live instrumentation does not change the genre.Ā

Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

Then #98 in France, the second week. This is what you call high charting? And it is to mention that chart in France is compiled only by sales. In whole Europe, the song has almost ZERO airplay.

Yes techinically it did chart high. That was the topic. If the topic is longevity then by all means I shall agree with you. Stop changing goalposts just because you were proven otherwise.

People are only asking about the genre because it doesn't sound like anything Gaga has done before, or like anything else in pop music right now.
