Did Judas flop?

Bloody hooker

It was a flop because people found it "too controversial" :madge:

The hit that got away

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

It debuted and peaked at #10 :interestinga: PI is a bigger flop at #15. Judas is way better than PI.

Yea I feel like the only reason it didn't do well because America is so religious and they thought she was demonic and **** lol I bet if she released judas but instead of the word being judas in the song it was a different word that rhymed with judas I bet the song would of done better

It performed good, thanks to TF/M, but it was the reason/beginning of her downfall.

I think its a cycle for every artist to have a peak and eventually descend.. I wouldn't blame Judas, its just impossible for any celebrity to stay at their peak forever.

True, but the good sis has been falling since then; unlike Rihanna and Katy who stabilized their career status.

I agree. We had a good mild comeback with Applause, but went back down again :toofunny:. I highly doubt Gaga going Indie will fix that.

I don't know if it was a flop but It's one of my favorites Gaga's songs, the instrumental, the chorus and the bridge are pure gold!

Not really. It's 2x platinum and it wasn't a hit but it wasn't a flop either.

IMO a flop = does not qualify for a certification, did not sell 1 million copies WW

That's bc the streaming ****. I think it hit 1 million copies sold in the US a few months ago. :cryga:

another shot before we kiss the other side

A song about loving the man who betrayed Jesus, rush released on Easter Weekend after an extensive leak? It was bound to do poorly. To answer your question, it debuted at number 10 and peaked there as well, and it really went no where. By the time The Edge of Glory was made the next single about a month and a half later, Judas started to stabilize, but really who knows whether or not it would have grown more popular?

it wasn't even a whole month before she released eog

i remember the forum was POed because immediately after releasing the video she released eog

Tokyo Rose

Switching TEOG and Judas would have given a better result.

Judas was like overkill after BTW

I bet the videos for TEOG and Judas would have turned out better too.

I remember it was successful in non english speaking countries, tho the controversy was too much. If you ask me, judas is the point the gp started to lose interest in that kind of gaga.
