(and yes, let's just pretend like "Give Me All Your Lovin" never happened during this, lol) You're right, out of the given 5 there is just no competition. Beyonce might come close, but choosing Katy Perry instead of Madge? Cmon.
ReidOne 12,427
Since we've come this far... please note this moment that occurs 5 minutes into MJ's performance when he suddenly switches from happy-go-lucky pop dance jams to straight up hard rock metal. AND HE'S SINGING: "I AIN'T SCARED OF YO BROTHER, I AIN'T SCARED OF NO SHEETS" AT THE SUPER BOWL --- THE US BIGGEST STAGE. IN 1993. OMG Let me tell you, to hear this on my TV set in 1993 in the USA bible belt with my ENTIRE FAMILY glued to the TV (sitting beside my Mom who has idolized Michael Jackson since she was a child in the 70's), knowing everyone else in town was doing the same, it was PHENOMENAL. This was pre-internet. Pre-cable-in-every-household. This was THE moment. He was in LA (Pasadena). And this performance happened immediately after the 1992 LA Riots, AND immediately before the OJ trial. There's a reason Beyonce wore the same outfit this year to perform "Formation." She was channeling the King at his most iconic moment for American culture. And carrying his message on the same stage. It was beautiful. This is also why it would be kind of reductive to see Beyonce randomly perform Telephone w/ Gaga at this year's show. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ @PartySick @frankgutz

Versace 7,959
1-Madonna (she actually takes time to make it an all out show, plus it was during a new era with a new lead single being performed+it's madonna lol) 2-Beyonce (I thought it was a great opportunity to at least debut a new song, heck even if it's grown woman, none the less, it was really good) 3-Bruno (he really is the "it boy" of the music industry if we think about, vocals+personality+great lyrics) 4-Katy (It was kind of a childish show tbh, especially with left shark and missy elliot overshadowing her lol, still managed to enjoy it though) 5-Coldplay (while I love them, they just are not superbowl material, the need to include Beyonce and Bruno was slightly cringe worthy, cause it proves the point that they cannot command a stage alone, maroon 5 even though not as talented as Coldplay would have had an easier time playing the show tbh)
RAMROD 109,393
I don't watch KP show so let's put that aside first and foremost.

As a fan of Max Martin since his Ace of Base beginnings in the mid 90's, I thoroughly enjoyed Katy's show. It was pure camp and it did the trick, memes for days. And most importantly, it was 20 years of Max Martin's hard work come to fruition. And simultaneously by default, pop justice for Ace of Base https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD1QrIe--_Y

tomsches 17,395
1. Madonna or Beyoncé... it's really hard! 2. Katy Perry. Even though I don't like her I have to admit that she pulled off a great show 3. Coldplay 4. Bruno Mars. I didn't even watch his show because I'm not interested in him
