inb4 half of you reply with **** length jokes, lol...

Seriously, though... I think 11 tracks is the perfect length for a pop album. Gaga is notorious for going too long with her albums (BTW, ARTPOP)...

Some iconic pop albums with just 10-12 tracks:

Michael Jackson - Bad (11 tracks)

Kylie Minogue - Fever (12 tracks)

Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl (10 tracks)

Madonna - Confessions on a Dancefloor (12 tracks)

Prince - 1999 (11 tracks)

It's too little for me, considering it's been 3 years. The Fame had 15, Born This Way had 14 and 17, that is an amazing good length. ARTPOP was short and it couldve had Brooklyn Nights and the Dope demo as the closing track like she is doing now with Angel Down. I wanted 13 on standard and 16 on deluxe. We'll be a long time with this album before she decides to make another one, and it will be eternal to love with only 14 of her latest work.

Yup, before Gaga said that there is going to be 11 tracks on standart, I knew it and I was posting comments about it that it's going to have like classic 10-12 tracks...plus Black To Black has 11 tracks too

For fans maybe.... People are delirious if they think a reviewer or a casual listener would listen to 17 songs.

11 is the perfect number to be obsessed and also wrap your head around.

You go beyond 12 tracks and you are bound to lose the audience a little bit... Keeping it concise allows for the listener to listen in a single sitting and digest the whole of the album, as a singular artistic statement.

While it is always "great" to get more songs, that is not necessarily the case when it comes to putting together an album. Keep the extras as bonus tracks and b-sides. But keep the album tight.

Some outtakes better be leaked then, like BN

Well yes but she also could've removed forgettable filler songs like Donatella, J&D and Swine, Money Honey, Bad Kids. Her best album "universally" is The Fame Monster and it is just 8 track. I'm looking forward to Joanne having 0 fillers.

Donatella was my first fave song on ARTPOP. Swine is amzng, Money Honey is iconic and she loved it so much. Gaga's albums havent been full of fillers so far. I only find The Queen, Disco Heaven and Dope fillers

She said she regretted doing Money Honey once.

She performed it on the fame ball and Monster Ball even after the revamp... I mean, she removed Paper Gangsta and Fashion, she mustve liked Money Honey enough

Honestly, if you have anything more than 13, then the songs themselves need to be short.

Albums should be around an hour start to finish. Anything longer than that is exhausting.
