I think she scraped it and then started to work with Mark (and others) on the new ideas. And now we have Joanne :gaycat:  She scraped her work with RedOne (apart from one song), DJWS and maybe someone other. Although this is how album creating process works. We can't do anything about it.

She definitely changed the album around earlier this year.

I'm pretty sure the RedOne track was planned at the lead but Bowie's death heavily influenced her to change her direction.

Dramatica

I don't know why but I feel like at some point she really wanted to make "The Fame Monster 2.0". But then Mark happened :creepflop:

I didn't ask for a free ride, I only asked you to show me a real good time.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought this :creepflop: I do think that no matter what type of music she does, she'll always deliver 100% and give us everything she can :firega: Gags isn't a basic like most of today's pop stars

Anyway, I saw some you say she's (possibly :derpga:) done this before. Can someone explain please?

Absolutely, she scrapped the original idea and started again about 8 months ago or so.

I don't think it's scrapped... it was reshceduled imo, but we have to wait and see.

It's clear that some dramatic change happened. I can't understand why some other people are in delusion. :what:

Gaga had a concept album in progress, but she started to rush out songs with Mark (she usually marinates her songs for many months before releasing them) for some unknown reason. There's still a high probability that the previous songs and ideas will just come later, because Gaga seemed extremely deep within her original concept.

One second I'm LG5, then suddenly I'm LG6. :derpga:

Joanne is the original LG5. You see, when creating a record, an artist will have multiple ideas, concepts, themes, directions ect. Its what they do, create. Therefore, musical directions will change. Lady Gaga (at the start of this process) had absolutely no idea about either of the above. So she went to RedOne and worked with him first (she needed a baseline, a starter point to see where she wants to go musically). They did like 8 songs or something. At this point she was figuring out where to go. Elton John only came into the mix cause they are friends, he is a very strong critic and lets not forget that gaga is Godmother to Elton's children. I believe they also did a few songs together. At this point, she had a more of an understanding about what her next musical direction was - and that seemed like back to the TF TFM days. Then 'Til It Happens To You' happened with Dianne Warren, and that song is very personal to gaga. So after working with Dianne, Lady Gaga figured out the path she wanted to take. (Maybe TIHTY influenced her decision to go for a personal record?) She also spent time with her family, she learnt what issues her family were facing. She realised that her Aunt Joanne's death still impacts on the family greatly. (Maybe this developed her path to go personal). Then, she met up with Mark Ronson. I'm sure gaga said in an interview somewhere that Mark said to create what was on her mind at that point in time, and with being at home with her family experiencing family life it is obvious that gaga put forward the idea for Joanne. Her sound this era could be influenced by her collaborators i.e Father John Misty, Florence Welch, Bloodpop ect. Perfect Illusion is definitely not a country song. Blooppop's and Kevin Parker's influence made that song more of a pop/rock song.

Recap on the point, gaga's musical path constantly changes when creating a new record (Happened with ARTPOP, Born This Way, and even The Fame). She doesn't have a record already made, then scraps it. When she is certain of the path she wants to go, she'll stay on that path until its finished, which Joanne now is. She has probably done over 100 songs for Joanne with everyone she has collaborated with, she just had to figure out the direction she wanted to go for, finalise the songs she wants to reflect that, and BOOM we have Joanne.   October 21st isn't too far away guys, less than a month now! 'Joanne' is a new era, so lets experience it instead of wanting gaga to backwards instead of forwards! :) Cannot wait till Joanne gets released!! The queen will slay and snatch your weaves :) :rockstar::firega::staymad: The answer to your question is no.

Definitely, but whose to say for sure. I do think when she started working with Mark that things changed and he led her in a new direction.

To those who say it's just part of the creative process of an album... you DO have a point, but I refuse to accept that that's what happened with LG5

Let's take ARTPOP as an example, she already said she wrote dozens of songs or the album (and of course not all of them made it into the record) but in that case, she wrote all the songs with a common concept in mind (the ARTPOP concept), so in that case I would valid the point that its part of the process.

But with LG5, she just moved on to a more personal record, after having a particular concept in mind last year.

Well... Joanne doesn't seem at all related to:

-Chaos

-Butterfly/metamorphosis

-AHS:Hotel

So its a bit obvious she scrapped the whole concept

Who's to say any of that was the concept. We just went and ran with everything she said because we were desperate.

You're right, except the AHS influence, she just literally said the album would have influence in her AHS role.

PassTheTime

She had 3 years she could have done from scrape 2 whole albums for real ,and we can notice that even with this much time she still doesn't know the tour's title ,MV for PI was made last minute and I feel like everything is rushed. So many producers in play in the beggining and now we hear that she already had 8-9 songs with RedOne which are a lot for real and she choose only one ?!?! :neyde:

PS:JOANNE is not a conceptual album btw soo no time dedicated for trying to fit in a theme :nails:
