I just wanted to point, that when the music is good and worth buying, there's no need for BIG promotion. Lana is one of the best examples ever.

While I (clearly) don't disagree that Lana's music is good, that's not always the case. There's plenty of amazing music that none of us will never hear because it isn't promoted. While Lana no longer does any obvious promotion in the way of TV performances etc, her albums are still marketed in a way that genuine indie artists could only dream of. She gets press, online advertising, videos, festivals/tours etc.

But regardless of all that her numbers are certainly impressive when she's still selling similar to major pop acts who have radio support and perform on every TV show they can. More, in some cases. I think that's testament to her big fanbase and how well she struck a chord with people on the internet, more than anything.

Those numbers are inflated...not BTD tho, it was massive. But Ultra didn't cross 2M WW. Show me the receipts ASAP.
