notamember 667
So we all know the video came out and Perfect Illusion rose quite a bit on iTunes, and it's currently sitting at #28. I feel like once people wake up in the U.S. the song will be bought even more. Do you think that Gaga, or Interscope, should discount the song to get more people to buy the song? TONS of others have done this, as you can see on Kworb, so why not Gaga? Personally, I think it would be a good idea and it would definitely boost sales. What do you think? FATCAT 60,044
No. It's brand new. This kitten over here (meow)
JevyDuty 2,961
I think it's still too early for that. If she does that now, right after the music video release, she'll look desperate and we all know by now that SHE DOESN'T CARE.
KURUSHITOVSKA 20,451
Nah, they don't even make good money from single sales ¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?

FATCAT 60,044
Just now, notamember said: Hmm so they normally only do it with older songs? It's usually only done for hti singles that they want to remain at the top. If you've got a #1 hit, and it shuffled down to #8 and begins loosing traction, they'll discount it to rack in those remaining sales. It's not used (AFAIK) to kickstart promotion. Yeah, now I agree that it would kind of be seen as desperate if she did do it already.

Naufri 7,424
I don't think Gaga is what decide things like that. Interescope should do next week. I know the song is new, but a discount is a good way to maintain the spotlight over the song

XMonsterMonster 1,555
She should totally make it more expensive. On topic: she shouldn't because It's a brand new song.
spicemuncher 1,708
No but they should pay to still have her on the front page of iTunes and Apple Music! The song is no where to be seen unless you search for it, it's not under Best of the Week or new music or in any playlist!
