I love this explanation, she should do it for every song on Joanne. :diane:

''We started to break Kevin's song apart and change the lyrics and change the melody and it became something new''.

Why do I feel like all she did was add Perfect to Illusion and called it a day? Maybe that's why she seems so distant from this song.

I agree... which is sad because I really though she wrote her music but now I'm understanding she not behind her pen

We are the most ironic fanbase. Little Monsters die for Gaga when someone else talks **** but then come here and talk mad **** about Gaga. :oprah:

It amazes me how she did like 18 interviews and managed to say the same thing word by word. Looks like she rehearsed Interviews.

I am my father's father teas.

PI about Taylor? Of course not, even though every song on my album is autobiographical teas.

It bums me out hearing they took his song and basically completely altered it. I wish the song had more Kevin Parker vibes in it. :grr: But, it's HER song at the end of the day, so I really can't complain and wish it was more of a Kevin Parker esque song.

"Well, Kevin Parker came in and we broke his idea apart and then Mark came in and then Bloodpop, so it was a whole creative process going on."

"On this album I am my father's daughter, my mother's daughter, my sister's sister, my dog's owner."

Gaga's a good writer but she has always been open to being pitched songs. For example, Nothin' On was written by two writers and she recorded it. I don't think she added a word despite what Gagapedia says.

I don't know why people are so hung up on her writing. People were flipping sh*t over her writing over instrumentals on ARTPOP but she done the same on The Fame (Eh, Eh definitely and probably The Fame, I Like It Rough and Starstruck), Born This Way (Government Hooker) and I suspect The Fame Monster had the same although I don't think anything was confirmed or rumoured.

The only reason I'm a fan is because I thought  she was behind her pen. I love musician not clowns  masquerading as something they're not. She been saying she write her songs all these years and that was a lie

Some of you really want to drag her and every single time you post it's more evident.

Now suddenly she's not allowed to relate to the concept of a song another person came up with and broke it until it follows her creative direction, because THAT means it can't be personal for her.

Expand your minds a little, or retire from this site to be honest.

It does seem like working this way as a group would make the songs rather impersonal to the featured artist, I couldn't work like that, if I were an artist. I am a control freak and would want all of my lyrics to closely represent me, completely.

Trivial, but I can't understand why my two faves love Bon Jovi!!??! @YourSweet666 , do you see that album behind her head? lol :lana:

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
