I totally support your OP, but you might want to reconsider the way you've said this, as your statements infer that being a bottom is emasculating.

I know that's not your belief/intention, but that is how it reads. No offense meant.

I agree.

looking back, I should've better elaborated on how its inferred by others' stereotypical opinions that being a bottom is demasculating and apparently equivalent to that of being a Lady Gaga fan.

It seriously is freakin astonishing.

Theres even one instance when this guy and I went out and the date was going so well until I mentioned Lady Gaga when we were on the subject of music. And I'm pretty sure he was a bottom assuming that I was a bottom so I wouldn't be able to satisfy his needs I guess. I don't know. He kind of cut me off and briefly got In touch with me to let me know I'm too feminine to be a top... But I never heard from him again after. Thanks Lady Gaga.

it's sad...

even facing the prejudice in the skin most gays are sexist and racist, and very stuck to stereotypes of masculinity and beauty. It's basically all about selfish thought that moves our consumerist society.

But seriously guys, I want to know how it is to be a straight male in this very gay fan base, because the only straight guy I know who likes Gaga isn't straight anymore (:derpga:). How is it? Do you keep it a secret around girls so they don't assume you're gay? Or are you out Gaga fans and don't give a **** about what people think?

They assume we are

But eventually we find out and clear everything up.

Also whenever I enter a thread about a male artist :emma:

I definitely agree, it's super annoying.

I'm not a bottom, so I basically have to hide the fact that I am obsessed with Gaga until the person knows I'm a top

Don't get me wrong though, there is nothing wrong with being a bottom, embrace that sh*t! I just don't want someone to get the wrong idea and not be interested after figuring out I'm not what they thought I was :flop:

But that's the unnecessary struggle.

Whoever makes you feel like you have to hide your love for Lady Gaga so they don't assume you're a bottom instead of a top... that person needs to go get a life.

uggghhh .  .  . You don't need that negativity in your life.

this is why open minded guys get me down to me undies quicker than shallow pretty boys. . .

Lady Gaga: Queen of bottoms, power bottoms, and as of recently: indie bottoms.

Ain't that the truth

What about Madonna tho?

They can't scare me, if I scare them first.

I agree. I'm not masculine or feminine, I'm a hybrid (:derpga:) . I've started to care much less though, I even put "Buy Perfect Illusion on iTunes" on my Grindr profile :laughga: also...it helps if you flat out state which position you prefer in your profile. Not everyone is comfortable with that, but I'm quite open minded.

Although, not everyone uses Grindr and that wouldn't work for most other social media.
