Of course it means. Having Lady Gaga as part of TV shows and movies makes her part of the pop culture we're living right now.

I don't know a single person who doesn't know about her or heard about her.

Everyone knows what LADY ****ING GAGA is.

While singers like Selena, kp, etc are singers who only put music out there and are not really slaying the scene. (no shade I love them all)

Everyone i know has at least one fav gaga song and they know about her. If I ask someone what's your fav (whatever singer song) they will say the song that's popular at the moment.

Gaga has the momentum, Gaga has the longest staying power to be remembered forever. While the sugar popstars are only going to be relevant as long as they put songs out there in the current moment.

I can't believe I'm saying all those **** in GAGA FORUM where everyone here should know this by now

Everyone knows katy perry as well, yet she hasnt changed anything. You havent given me a reasonable answer.

I'm not here to defend Gaga and try to please you with answers. You seem like one unreasonable person who enjoys making people fight them and always know how to make silly comebacks. Gaga is here to stay. I'm done trying to defend your "fave" and argue with you when you are blind to what gaga has done. Since you're here you should acknowledge her accomplishments. I'm not going to stay up all night writing essays about how awesome Gaga is. I did that in high-school

If by "her career is getting worse" you mean she's not the hit-making machine she used to be, then you're right. But in terms of quality, it's quite the opposite. Her career just keeps getting better. Now people see her as a talented artist, not just a freak in crazy outfits. She's more respected now than she's ever been. Anyone can have #1 hits these days (I mean, look at the C0cksuckers... I mean Chainsmokers :reductive:), but it takes talent to achieve the kind of impact Gaga has. And unlike many of the so-called artists topping the charts, Gaga has the potential to become a legend. She's already made her mark on pop culture. She's known around the world. She's sold millions of albums. She's already been at the top. That was her goal when she first entered the music scene, but now she's in a different place. She wants to make music she's passionate about. And that's what Joanne is all about, and let me just say I'm f*cking here for it and I'm excited to see what she has in store for us.

Yes by career I did mean hits but I made it clear that I dont mind her not creating more hits aslong as she express herself fully in her new direction instead of trying to please both sides and thats what causing her career to shrink witch I already explained and thats my main argument witch it seems like nobody is getting maybe because of my english?

I'm not blind to what she's done, and actually, quite the opposite. That's why I can say that there's nothing new to what she's doing (Music (and visual) wise). Maybe you're just not familiar with artists that came before her?

She's great at doing her thing, and I love her for that. But as I said, we've seen that before.

I feel like Gaga was never a Pop star and she always knew that but she used Pop music to pop its bubble and turn its skin inside out exposing its truth and changing culture witch was amazing to watch but I feel like Gaga is not interested in that anymore and doesnt want to be a Pop star since ARTPOP was released. All that is fine with me as I enjoy Gaga in all cases even as a Jazz singer and maybe Rock N Roll aslong as she is fully expressing herself to the fullest and go all the way with the direction she wants witch I feel shes not doing! shes stuck having each foot in a different direction trying to please her needs while at the same time trying to please the mainstream and live up to what she created resulting in both sides not fully satisfied.

"I wasn’t here to make pop music better, I was put here to ruin it, burst its bubble, turn it inside out, explode it and vomit it all over the world.” - Lady Gaga

I feel like her career is gonna get worse by every album she releases! Too the mainstream, the ARTPOP era ended after the VMAs performance but her fans loved it witch kept the project kinda going unlike what I think will happen with Joanne as the mainstream and her fans wont be interested and what worries me even more is that after Joanne, she will release another Jazz album so by that time, everyone will lose interest! Gaga and her label are acting like Perfect Illusion never happened and will probably move into another main single and I feel like the Super Bowl is just a desperate attempt to make this album succeed. I know Gaga can do it if she wanted and have the biggest comeback ever but I respect her for doing what she wants, I just want her to either go all the way with her new direction or stick to what she used to do.

Yes I do realize that some of my opinion and points are based on assumptions of her new album.

She is going to do another Jazz album with Tony next year. It was already confirmed. They both also discussed plans to do multiole jazz albums.

I'm here for her putting out alternative confessional singer-songwriter music in the vein of someone like Sharon Van Etten or Florence Welch but Perfect Illusion just isn't it.

Just like ARTPOP put a lot of people off (not me) because of an apparent lack of art of to it (designed to be full of hits) Joanne is putting me off so far because Gaga is trying to make and market it as "indie"' music yet put out something like Perfect Illusion to promote it.

I know she said it's different from the rest of the record so I hope that's the truth and the rest of the record showcases Gaga's songwriting abilities and breaks free of the pop realm she comes from.

Sometimes i think she decided not to be a popstar anymore since ARTPOP flopped / the backlash / management mess. If ARTPOP would have been a success, she'd probably continue being a popstar.

What i'm really trying to say, is that this rock star decision is not (IMO) 100% heartfelt by gaga. It's a consequence.

Red & Blue is more distant to pop than to rock. And that was herself.

¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?

This, this, this! Ever since she moved to other music genres she seems kinda lukewarm to me. In pop world she can be the biggest fish in the pond.

It's a pity her spirit is not that strong. I know that she went through tough times during ARTPOP but she has all the resources in the world to assist her as she pleases

Stopped reading here. Gaga was, is and will always be a POP star with rock, metal, jazz, funk, tech, rnb, electro, dance etc. influences. Stop with that sh!t: "SHE JUST USED TO SING POP TO BE MORE FAMOUS BUT EVERYTHING WAS FAKE BECAUSE SHE KNEW THAT INSIDE HER THERE WAS A BORING GAGA WHO WOULD SING BORING JAZZ SONGS FOREVER (besides The Lady is a Tramp & La Vie en Rose)"
