It doesn't feel the same because the era is 1 WEEK OLD and it hasn't even started. Give it time and wait until the era is completed, we will get performances, music videos, an album, a tour, and much more. I don't get all the drama, she is the same person, she has always been the same person.

I just feel like this time she's going to let the music shine for itself, she wants to be respected, known, and reminded for her talent and her music and not because she has worn crazy outfits, and that's totally fine.

But don't say that she has changed because that's not true. She has always been a rockstar, and for the first time ever she is going to release a very personal album, which is what she needs, because she is not going to sing about fashion and fame forever. She has already done that, now let the artist evolve.

And I can't believe some of you are saying that you miss ARTPOP era (specially because y'all have been bashing it non-stop since 2013). That was like one of the worst moments of her life, it's like being a Mariah Carey fan and saying that you miss the Glitter era. It just makes no sense. :rip:

The problem is she catered to her "little monsters" with ARTPOP and it was a terrible album. I've been a big fan since Just Dance and have queued up in the cold and rain to see her and still supported her by going to the Artrave three times. But that era and album was terrible for Gaga's standards. It was so immature and I think Joanne was the album she wanted to do back then but her lable wouldn't allow it. I think they have learnt to let Gaga do her own thing. Unfortunately this is going to disappoint alot of monsters but they don't realise that Gaga is capable of something much bigger and better than ARTPOP. I've always known it. I'm glad we are finally getting to see something more real and less superficial from her.

She did a performance at a London nightclub of PI

That performance was better than the single itself. It's made me much more excited for this era. I think if I hadn't watched it, in all honesty I'd have been disappointed. But that performance made it clear that she's got it all figured out. I think the next tour is going to be one hell of a show. :)

It was all an act before. This is the real her. And it's a snooze :-(

This is not the real her. You can tell by the way she is forcing herself to act normal. Now she's fake.

She has changed ? Good, I hated everything about ARTPOP. I just don't want her to start bashing her previous works just because she is evolving.

The only thing that I could miss is her crazy outfits, but I'm 100% sure we will see that again on her.

My biggest problem is that her past eras were insanely creative, and ever since C2C we witness her public therapy during which she assures herself and everyone around that pop is not for her anymore.

And don't get me wrong it is fine, however she is boring now let's face it. Also she spent over 2 years singing covers, just to release an album with plenty of collaborations and lead single which is not even her idea (in terms of concept).

It feels like she had it all and she doesn't need to step up her game anymore. Well, she has Tony, Florence, Ronson and Kevin now to assure the world her work is worth anything.

How does releasing an album with a few collabs could lead to become boring ? I don't see the link. Also, you haven't listened to the album.

The ARTPOP era wasn't creative at all, ironic for an album that claims to bring some art to the game.

All I can say is : I can finally rejoice to see her trying something different that is definitely going to divide this fanbase. This way, most of the annoying fans will leave for good.

well she is an artist and an entertainer, her job is all about being creative and she does it to please her fans and the public.

As an artist, her job is to do what SHE wants to do.

She is boring since 2014 it didn't change now and doesn't seem to be going to change. I don't say ARTPOP was super creative, it was just the last time she was interesting.

and don't put me into box of 'annoying fan' please.

You couldn't be farther from the truth if you even tried. You and those who think like you are the worst of this fanbase, for failing to ever comprehend who Gaga is.

If she's so much of a "snooze fest" now, then wtf are you still here for? Stop trying to ruin this moment for those of us who get it and are completely okay with where Gaga is at right now in her life and career.

I'm not ruining ****. If I am capable of ruining someone's moment that's on that person, they must be pretty weak.

Her amazing costumes and persona were an act, the Haus created her and it was amazing. But it was an act. She fired her team and how wants to be Joanne, and it's boring af and so is the new song. Still holding out hope the album will slay.

I personally think she is following David Bowie's career in terms of the 'act'. Remember when Gaga said she studied fame well? I personally think she's pretty clever with fame and knows exactly what she's doing. She can write a bop in a minute and it would sell like crazy, but that is not her aim anymore. 'Crazy Gaga' was like Ziggy Stardust to David Bowie, after a couple of albums he then gave up all the theater to focus more on himself and the music. I guess it can get tiring to live in her 'crazy Gaga' days up till today. It was a period just like when I was a punk at the age of 16. I evolved and became the person I chose to be and so did she. Gaga will forever remain huge and iconic, no matter what she does or how much she sells.

This x100000.

And this is why Gaga is a living legend. Like all legends, they are never #1 all the time. She's creating a body of work.

The difference between Gaga and Bowie is that Bowie had a really hard time breaking into the US market, and had to tone himself down a lot and take a LONG time (20 years) to really make it as a truly international artist.  Gaga's journey has been cake compared to Bowie's - but he had success after success over 50 years, with lots of experimentation, downtime, albums with 1 to 0 hits on them.  Lots of art films (man who fell to earth, basquait), successful commercial roles (labrynth).  I think Gaga is trying to model her career after his in a way.  Manipulating the media when it serves her, and serving herself and her artistry when she needs to.
